Firewater Ranch
We really enjoyed it, we were looking for a nice, quiet and secluded experience while not actually being too far from amenities like showers and restroom like they provided, Crystal and her husband were really friendly and offered us coffee in the morning but we ended up bringing our own and didnt take them up on it, but it was really nice she offered. We enjoyed making friends with their friendly cats who accompanied us when we got there and gave us the grand tour of the property, it was nice waking up to farm sounds from turkeys, goats and chickens. All in all a really nice relaxing stay and we look forward in doing it again sometime.

Our host was very helpful and friendly and offered help if I needed it. We are pretty self sufficient but my 6 year old was devastated that he forgot to bring drawing paper and Crystal had some brought out to us. So kind. The land is pretty, and I didn’t hear much road noise. There are nice trails marked out on the property for exploring. Basic toiletries provided if you forget. Goats, fowl, and super friendly security cats. It’s nice to have a shower provided but I let the water run for 10 minutes and it never got warm. Also, the spot provided for setting up our tent and fire was right next to the house. Like, RIGHT next to it. If I had known that was the only area accessible by vehicle I would have chosen another property. Also neighborhood dogs barking all night is much more noticeable when you’re outside and I think the other properties are pretty close. For our needs, it was a nice easy trip.

Crystal was so kind- the property is beautiful and peaceful! I had business nearby and the shower helped me transform from camper to business owner!

No an actual family type setting
This location is roughneck type camping. We weren’t able to park our vehicles close enough to the camp setting, unloading all the stuff we brought was a lot of work back and forth. We were given only two locations to chose from. Other location wasn’t maintenance enough to allow small kids to roam around, too many trees to didn’t allow for vehicle access and grass was way too long. I was expecting an actual camp site but, guess I failed to read all of property’s description. I’m sure it’s perfect for many but wasn’t for us, 3 small children not much for them to do other than going in the pool, which was bit awkward being that’s it’s a private home setting. No fault of the owner of course, they were courteous. Just wasn’t the right pace for us.

Camping here was lovely. We stayed far enough from the house to feel like we were in the wilderness and was just a short walk from a toilet and shower. The land was lovely and green with lots of trees and no stickers. Crystal was very nice. Her son showed us around the property and helped us get to a good spot. Overall great stay and would recommend!

Probably Great for Tents & Families
First and most importantly, Crystal was so incredibly nice and a great host! Checking in, finding the place, and maintaining contact with her was super easy. The neighborhood was also relatively quiet, and we saw a lot of deer! I just don't think this site fit our needs/set up well. It has been wet the past few weeks, so the entire secluded back was too muddy to drive our campervan (Astro). So, we haphazardly found the most secluded spot we could find in their front yard. Definitely not as secluded as we would have liked since we could see/hear people going down the driveway, but it was our only option considering the circumstances. All I would caution is that if you don't have a super rugged campervan, you're taking a risk on whether the conditions will be right for when you go. All in all, we enjoyed using their fire pit that we brought over to our campsite, and Crystal was very courteous in setting aside firewood to dry since its been wet outside. There was a bathroom and shower, but it wasn't very clean; however, we didn't need to use it often. I would recommend this place to anyone tent camping with children as it's not super out-in-the-wild and there's chickens and goats to see.
