CLOSEST PROPERTY TO ENCHANTED ROCK - 18 mins away, 38 mins from Fredericksburg, 25 mins from Kingsland, and 5 mins from Llano, Texas. Flat, tree surrounded sites with campfire rings. Or stay up top on the granite outcropping with a a hillside fire ring and city views (appropriate vehicle required). Rustic natural landscape with granite outcroppings, seasonal wildflowers and year round wildlife siting's - deer, wild pigs, raccoons, dove, scorpions, ants and various varieties of snakes. (YES RATTLERS and COPPERHEADS - April - November). With 10 potential sites to choose from, campers select preferred camping spot desire based on availability. Each campsite is unique. Hilltop location requires 4x4 transportation. For all campsites, there are rocks and brush located thru out the property, caution required driving low clearance vehicles. We are not responsible for car or tire damage - so proceed with caution and stay on designated paths. GREAT FOR A VARIETY OF LARGE PARTIES - inquire with the host. Absolutely NO HUNTING ALLOWED. We feed the deer. And the Longhorns! If you'd like to feed them too we can leave a bag of deer corn or cow cubes and you can feed them as well. Hand feeding the Longhorns is a true experience. The property is been completely fenced. Please close and secure gate after entering and exiting with the lock provided. Code provided before arrival. There is a manual gate and a automatic gate you will be given the code for both. REQUIRES WAIVER: We have a waiver a renters, tenants and guest are required to sign prior to their visit. Tucked Away

Great stay with a caveat

Tucked away site was great. The property and the hosts were fantastic. Unfortunately the new neighbors across the street decided it was a great weekend for staff appreciation. They were blasting Tejano music until 12:30 in the morning. One time occurrence, but unfortunate timing for us. Michelle (one of the hosts) refunded us one of the nights which was very kind of her. Once the bath house gets built it will be even nicer to stay out there. Hopefully we can schedule a return on a different weekend without staff appreciation going on across the street. The proximity to enchanted rock is what really drew us to this property. It was very close to both Llano and enchanted rock as well as the Texas Hill Country Overland Route. Thanks Chad and Michelle for being such great hosts. Definitely recommend a stay…. as long as the neighbors are behaving.

Horned Hideaway

Great communication from the host! As a solo female camper, I felt very safe, and I loved my camping spot! It’s a beautiful place, and I loved hearing the sounds of the surrounding animals. Highly recommend!

Favorite Spot (110v plug available)

Very nice in the spring with the wildflowers and butterflies. The cows are big sweeties and I appreciate Michelle letting my little one feed them. The RV spot was easy to back our little camper into and had a good view of the sky at night.

Tucked Away

The directions to access the ranch was very clear and easy to follow. The camping arrangements were well spaced out, with plenty to pick from (due to a late departure, our booked spot was not available, and Michelle helped us pick out a different, better camping location. The portapotty, aka "John," was the cleanest/best one I have ever used! I will come back soon.

Boondocking

Sacred Land

First and foremost, the hosts, Chad and Michelle were absolutely phenomenal. Their adoration of their Sacred land, nature and their capacity to nurture guests is unparalleled. The four-legged staff were a delight to hang out with. The land itself was left in its natural state and is absolutely gorgeous. Five stars! -Woody Strickland
