Aredondo Acres has wonderful views of the river because on other side of the river lies is a wooded area between Little and Big Webberville Parks and a nice green hill. Bring your canoe or kayak and relax while paddling in the river. We are four miles off of Hwy 71 in the little community of Garfield, TX between the Austin airport and the town of Bastrop. We live on onsite on the first acre, next to the road. The third acre is where you will be camping. Enjoy running water in the center area. For more personal needs, an RV with a flushing toilet is located closer to the river. Other extras include some picnic tables and chairs, fire pit, BBQ grill, trash can, cooling tub, big shady trees, and lots flat areas so you can drive to your campsite. Pets are welcome, just be sure to leash them when sharing the site with other campers. David's parents bought the property in the 1970's and it was undeveloped until they deeded it to him in the 1996. It used to be a gravel pit and there are still pockets of gravel on the property. We have been doing a lot of landscaping and enjoy walking to river to fish or just to enjoy a peaceful view of nature. We have recently added a floating dock, so the fishing should be even better. We look forward to sharing it with you. Learn more about this land: Relax in the shade and enjoy beautiful views of the Colorado River, just minutes from Austin and Bastrop. Bring your fishing poles and licenses and try your luck or just relax and watch the kayaks and boats float down the river. Water is available in the center of the area for all campers with a sink and an antique tub. Ground at the campsites is fairly level and there is an area wide enough to turn an RV. There are steps to the edge of the river. Restroom is in an RV so you have running water available, but you will need to climb a few steps.  You may get WiFi but it is not a given. Only two sites are rented for an acre of river-front land. Our home is on the first acre of three acres. If you need any "extras" just let us know and we will be glad to help. We are diligent about removing harmful weeds from the area but if you see any plant with three leaves, please let it be. For the 4th or July and New Year's Eve, fireworks are legal in this area so you are welcome to bring your own, or enjoy the neighbor's displays. We are close to Circuit of Americas and McKinney Rough Park with the zip line. We are a short drive to the Capital of Texas Zoo and the Dinosaur Park as well as LCRA South and North Parks in Bastrop, and the Bastrop State Park. Enjoy a day seeing the sites and then come home to your campsite and enjoy the stars.

Pleasant place not far from Austin
Although the entrance is a bit off-putting, the land designated for camping was level and easy enough to maneuver in our 20’ van. The RV available for restroom use was very clean and in great shape - a nice perq. The Aredondos are very pleasant hosts. We were permitted to juice up our Jackery before leaving and they even offered us some eggs from their chickens! Overall, a pleasant stay.

Aredondo Acres Riverside Camping
We had a wonderful time camping. Julie and her husband were great hosts. The site was well kept and a close walk down to the river. The facilities were nice, clean and useful. I would very much recommend staying at Aredondo Acres Riverside.

Interesting and Beautiful Stay!
Very interesting but nice stay at this Hipcamp! As long as you know what you're getting, it's a pretty fantastic deal! Pros: - Very kind and personable hosts! - Beautiful riverfront lot with a small floating dock to sit on and relax as the moon comes up. Honestly really loved the view and opportunity to swim (or fish). - Lots of ammenities! RV with flush toilet on site + running water/utility sink for rinsing dishes, washing hands, etc. Charcoal grills available, fire pit options, picnic tables, chairs. - Plenty of space (particularly if you're the only group camping). *The lot has 3 sites listed, so if you were sharing the space with other groups it might feel cramped. However, this could be social and fun! - Great price Cons: - Neighbors yards are very close, and there are numerous dogs that will come and visit during your stay. None of them were mean to other dogs/humans, but they were certainly present (and got into food during the night). Neighbors were outside all evening listening to music, playing drums, talking on the phone, etc. Just to note that there isn't 100% privacy. - Lot is somewhat haggard (large fire pit on an angle, weathered chairs/tabeles, etc.). However we just thought this gave the yard character! All that to say, we would definitely not hesitate to visit again. Thank you to the hosts for being kind and accommodating :)

Cool spot 30 min outside of Austin!
This was a cool little hipcamp! Pretty eclectic. Right on the water with a floating dock, fire pit, BBQ grill, and some other offerings. Our favorite part was the dogs next door that brought a ton of joy to our evening. Julie was super sweet and accommodating. We were the only people booked so we had the entire campsite to ourselves. Would have been interesting if there was another group there!

Private dog friendly camping!
This camp site is a gem! Our river front site was well maintained and the bathroom was clean. Julie the host was incredibly responsive and let us borrow a paddle for our paddle boards. It's a short drive to historic Bastrop as well. We're so greatful we found this amazing dog friendly campsite for the long weekend.
