Originally a Revolutionary War grant farm, the property is 75 acres, 50 of which is wooded. There is a one acre spring fed pond with pond house for swimming and barbless hook fishing, a 15 acre hayfield, an 1882 home, a 1915 barn, outbuildings, organic garden, apple orchard, and beehives. The pond house has a hammock, or plenty of room on the floor for two sleeping bags in inclement weather. Tents can be pitched on the earthen dam. There is no electric or toilet available; campers must bring a camp toilet and remove all waste from property. Spring water for drinking is available just down the hill from the pond house. There is also a cast iron tub below the holding tank overflow where you can bathe in cold spring water with biodegradable soaps. The walk up to the pond is less than five minutes with about a 50’ elevation gain. Please arrive at least one hour before nightfall for setup. The pond is stocked with bass and sunfish and the occasional snapping turtle. Bullfrogs chorus at night, deer come to drink, and herons frequent the shore. Campfire permission will be weather dependent and will be discussed before your stay. There is plenty of deadfall available near the pond house.Pitch your tent(s) on the earthen dam by the one acre, spring-fed pond. In inclement weather, there is a screened cabin with covered porch which will accommodate two adults in sleeping bags. Swim, fish, and relax in total isolation, safety, and privacy. There is no electric or toilet available, however potable spring water is available from the holding tank below the pond. Under the overflow of the holding tank is a cast iron tub for cold bathing with biodegradable soaps. Our two dogs will entertain you, especially the smaller one who loves to “fish” and swim. At night, the bullfrogs will sing you to sleep, and you’ll likely see deer stopping by for a drink. Float on the pond in the inner tubes and enjoy the night skies. With a high clearance all wheel or four wheel drive vehicle, you can drive up the logging road to within fifty feet of the pond. If you have a regular passenger vehicle, we will haul your cooler and other heavy items up the hill with the tractor for you and bring them back down in the morning. We are located 7 miles from Leiper’s Fork and the Natchez Trace and about 20 miles southwest of Nashville. We welcome all people.

Grace Farm's Pond in the Woods
You’ll want to book an extra day
We stayed an extra day at the farm pond because it was just so lovely! Really looking forward to coming back in the heat of summer to float in the pond. FYI, the fish are abundant! We spent at least an hour each day doing catch and release fishing with barbless hooks. Also, you should have no problem driving up to the campsite in a truck or SUV.

Can’t wait to come back!
Loved the spot so much we extended by another night, so writing this review while still at the camp site. The spot is perfectly convenient for a weekend camping trip from Nashville, and within 15-20 mins of Fairview stores. That said, you feel very isolated and remote in the woods! The entire property is 60 acres I believe, and the camping nook is situated next to a spring fed pond full of bass and blue gill. We set up a blow up mattress in the screened in porch room, and a VW bus tent next to the pond for our supplies and teenage daughter. Firewood was abundant around us, and we enjoyed cooking meals over the fire, listening to the frogs, owls, and birds, and watching the reflection of the trees on the pond. Temps were a little cold for bathing in the spring water, down in the 40s at night, but we are DEFINITELY planning on coming back next spring to bathe/float/bask in the heat and refreshing water! We brought our own camping chairs but there are already chairs positioned around the site next to the pond, up at the screened porch, and next to the fire.

Grace Farm's Pond in the Woods
A place to stay, and so much more
My friend and I spent an evening tent camping on the pond. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly faces. The property is lovely with a garden, orchard, a field to watch fireflies, a hiking path, and our favorite feature: the spring fed pond we got to swim in. There is even a small resting spot with a porch and hammock that was nice in the evening time. It was such a delightful stay, one of a kind truly, and the hosts were more than accommodating. We will be back!

Grace Farm's Pond in the Woods
Staying on this land with the pond, trees, birds felt more like a privilege than a normal campsite. The hammock up in the little structure was perfect for reading and dozing and swimming in the pond so natural. Be sure to take a soak in the outdoor old enamel tub and let the spring water drip down on your head. The owners were very interesting talking about the history of this old farmstead and what the continuing progress they are doing to restore the out buildings. Their farm is in an area of soft rolling hills, beautiful farms and an interesting nearby village. Absolutely want to return!
