You’re staying in the heart of the Black Hills. This 10 acre of private land was once a mining claim. Evidenced by the numerous “glory holes” pocking the surface of the property. It is directly surrounded by thousands of acres of US forest service on three sides and indirectly on the fourth. There is alot of history of gold mining in Battle Creek just below the property and surrounding hills. This is an incredibly quiet and secluded property with heavy woods and rocky embankments. Only minutes from this property you’ll find the quaint town of Keystone with shopping and the best restaurants in all of the Black Hills. We are truly located in the center of all the Black Hills have to offer. Most attractions are literally minutes away from your tent and include Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse monument, Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Sylvan Lake, and so much more.This is how camping should be. You'll be relaxing in your own private 220 sq ft wall tent located on a 300 sq ft deck overlooking gorgous forested mountains. Your tent is located on private property, surrounded by thousands of acres of US forest service. You'll be sleeping in a luxurious bed with fine linens, fluffy duvet, and a mountain of sleeping pillows to choose from. Your beautifully decorated bathroom with composting toilet, hot and cold water, and outdoor shower with a view, is only steps from your gorgeous tent. There are three tents on this rugged property. Each has its own unique setting and decor. Enjoy a glass of wine on the composite deck in the evening while warming yourself by the gas fire table. If something more filling is needed, cook up some dinner on the Camp Chef propane stove with all inclusive cookware. You'll love the views and privacy of this luxurious camp site.

Camping with my dog

I totally loved staying on John's land. My tent was perfect, the bed was super comfy and warm and the wood stove was a delight on the chilly nights. John is an impeccable and meticulous host, with a sharp eye on every detail. He checked in with me to see if I needed anything but otherwise let me enjoy the peace and quiet. I strongly recommend that you book your stay with John and enjoy all that the Black Hills has to offer.
