Perfectly situated base camp for exploring the magnificent Flinders Ranges. Your private campsite is located on a small 125 acre property on the Willow Plains, a short walking distance to the gum-studded Wonoka Creek. The skyline from your campsite takes in the Druid Range, across the plains to Mt Plantagenet, and Windee Hill.
Your campsite is known as Angle Farm.Enjoy starry skies, as you relax by your campfire at your own private campsite in the Flinders Ranges.
Set up your caravan/tent at your own private spot beside the stone ring campfire. The campsite is level, with plenty of room to turn around your van. It's in a quiet place in the Flinders Ranges, and just a short walk to Wonaka Creek-known locally as Wonaka Gap. It's also only 15 minutes drive to Hawker and approximately 45minutes to Wilpena Pound.
The campsite is called Angle Farm as the property was known as this due to its unique angle boundary. When this property was surveyed for blocks to grow grain in the 1870’s, the Telfer family were the first European settlers on this property known in more recent times as Windee Hill.
Campers need to be fully self-contained, and please lease the campsite clean and take all your waste with you. Pets are welcome.
We request that no firewood is collected from the property (BYO firewood) and no campfires are permitted during the fire ban period.
