Chestnut Hill is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
We are a agroforestry farm with animals orchards nursery crops and more. We have a beautiful stone carin on the property that is larger then most pickup trucks and most likely built by native Americans. We can hike out of our back yard down our neighbors driveway up the road a little bit and into a large preserve that has trails going in Connecticut and can be taken all the way up to New Hampshire. We have a few beautiful kayak and canoe friendly rivers by us that are mostly calm water with a few sets of small rapids. Ocean with 4x4 trails, shell fishing, sport fishing boats all within a reasonable distance. New port, Jamestown, block island all worth visiting. This is a forest surrounded by stone walls with a grove of mountain laurel to hide away in. You can find your own spot hidden from others amongst the beautiful mountain laurels that start blooming at memorials day weekend.

Brad and Bella were both exceptional hosts. When I arrived I was met by both. They took me on a tour of the farm, and went through some of the history. I was blown away by the vision for the land, and how they were both actively working to make it an amazing experience for the Campers. I would highly recommend staying, and will most definitely be back in the future!

Great camp spot!
I originally planned to hammock camp by myself, but due to some health issues I asked if I could camp in my car and bring my dog. Hosts were great and flexible. We walked to the site together and I was able to easily get in and out with my van. My pup Finn and I enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this spot!

Just what we needed…
It was a last minute decision (& our first time using HipCamp) and we arrived well after dark,. Apple Maps had us a little turned around, but the hosts responded quickly and when we arrived minutes later Brad met us by our van to welcome us and make sure we had what we needed. Our van is self-contained and we were exhausted from driving all day so we really just needed sleep. He told us a little about the property and also introduced us to their ‘guard’ dog Chanty so we wouldn’t be startled if we heard her bark during the night. She was a huge bundle of lovable sweetness! It was dark as pitch and so peaceful, we fell asleep quickly. We spent a quiet restful night and had to be back on the road angain early, but Brad met us again in the morning to check on us and see us off. We were sad we couldn’t stay longer - in the early morning light we could see how beautiful the property was! We would definitely recommend & next time we’d plan to stay a bit longer!

Immersive woods camping!
Brad’s land was perfect for my and my partners camping trip. We were able to set up camp wherever we wanted in the woods so it was as immersive as we wanted. The property is beautiful and hosts are very kind and knowledgeable. Talk to them! There is a bit of a walk to the camping area so lugging all our stuff from the car was tiring and took a few trips, but was well worth it as we were unable able to see any cars or buildings, adding to the experience.

Quiet, private, and out of the way, but still closeby to whatever you may need. Brad and Bella were both wonderful hosts, very communicative, just super great humans, and very accommodating. Their active farm is clearly a labor of love and a wonderful property for a stay.
