OPEN MARCH - DECEMBER EACH YEAR ‘Corella’ is a budget farm stay and Guesthouse and home to Living Wild Wholefoods (grain free products and mixes) Situated between Richmond and Julia Creek, we are in Nelia, a dot of a place close to a small wetland which is often home to hundreds of native birds. We are in the middle of cattle, dunnart and brolga country and our space includes access to wildlife caring experiences, cafe foods and good basic facilities. Just 2 kms off the Flinders Highway and easy to reach on bitumen roads. We have outdoor geothermal 'baths in the paddock' for campers use. Camping and bathing under the stars is a feature as is the free soup around the campfire after happy hour during April. We try to be as ecofriendly as possible with recycling (yes, we store recycling materials on the property as we are 300 kms from the nearest hardware shop) and growing our own vegies and meat, however we do have telephone access. Dinner - restaurant style choices - can be provided as well as snack foods, drinks and emergency supplies. We are a very simple campground. Return to the Simpler Side of Life and enjoy a real encounter with our animals and wildlife.

Didn’t even get out of the car
The male host was not friendly on arrival, he showed us to our campsite which was in the front yard, not sure where the 20 acres are as the camping is right next to the road and house, we started to turn the car around which was tight to do so that we where not facing the road and neighbours, the ground was a bit wet and he lost it at us verbally abusing us, we left without even stepping foot out of the car.

Good different!
My partner and I spent a night here on the way through, and it was certainly different but good different! Free range EVERYTHING from goats, chickens to peacocks and sheep and a cow - all super friendly! The artisan baths first thing before we packed up were so relaxing and we were also very spoilt with Georgi’s amazing restaurant quality meals for dinner! Well worth the price and stay and would do it again in a heart beat! Definitely recommend this spot for the good different!! A highlight for us on our 9 week holiday so far and we’ve already knocked out 5 of those weeks!! Thank you Georgi and Eric for having us, we had a blast.

Not for us.
This just wasn’t our place. It’s chaotic. Having said that, all the animals are happy and that’s important. Georgi is pretty stressed out and language was fruity. The male owner has some alcohol issues. I signed my children up for activities- there is no way I would let them out of my sight in this setting. Ok for an overnight stop if you must.

Corella Bring your Tent
We absolutely loved this place. They have been through a flood and there’s a bit of stuff around but it is an absolute Gem. The Artesian Bath was amazing, Georgi’s lasagne was a 10/10 and highly recommended. The kids got to play and fall in love with all the animals, Then there was Millie! A cow that comes and joins you by the fire because she loves it just as much as you do. Never judge a book by the cover, this is a true hidden gem.

We did not go to Corelli creek. We were told by Georgina that the site we booked was not available due to bad weather. She offered us another site which we did not consider suitable for a tent so we declined and said we assumed she was cancelling the booking and we booked elsewhere. She then told us the day before we were due to arrive that the site was now available. We told her too late we have booked elsewhere please refund our payment. We have not heard from Georgina and have not received a refund

Unique and a highlight!
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay! Our kids faces lit up the moment we arrived and they saw all of the animals - geese, goats, chickens, lambs and they especially loved Ziggy the kelpie! Then sitting around the camp fire with the biggest cow we’ve ever seen. Highlight for us was taking a bath under the Milky Way! 🙌🏻 And Georgi’s lasagne was delicious! Don’t judge a book by its cover, have an open mind and give this one a go! A unique experience and one we left very happy with! Thanks to Georgi and Eric for sharing their world with us!
