Even though parked near a road, it was lovely and peaceful.

Powered site was level and well positioned. Rob came out to meet me and explain everything I needed to know. The animals were friendly and my little dog loved visiting them numerous times a day.

Dogs barking non stop!
The top paddock is closely located next to a rented house with 2 large dogs that bark non stop. The road is also quite busy & noisy. Very unpleasant to camp next to. We booked for 2 nights & left after 1 night.

I would not recommend this place to anyone, for the price of $44 per for 2 people, it was disgraceful, nobody met us on site, the owner had no idea how to work the shower which was filthy! No water available just power so no showers for us for the week we were there, we had to ask for compost for the compost toilet which again was dirty, definitely a thumbs down from us.

We had a lovely time at Chookhouse Farmstay, however we were disappointed with how close everyone was. Several caravans had occupants that were clearly living there which made us feel a little uncomfortable. My son enjoyed feeding the animals and even got a kiss from a camel. The peacocks roaming around added a bit of fun and interest. The facilities and farm were fairly clean and tidy.

Overall we had a great experience, unfortunately no camp fires were allowed from the host even though there were no state fire bans and the chickens had fleas which mean’t no egg collection for the kids and no eggs for sale.
