The soothing lull of the nearby babbling stream and the gentle rustling of the hemlocks overhead envelops you in an unmatched sense of tranquility. This Adirondack shelter is equipped to cater to your needs, with thoughtful details and inspired touches throughout, including a handmade Amish Adirondack chair and a beautiful stone fireplace that invites you to sink in and relax. The interior is designed in a classic Adirondack style, with rough-cut timber walls allowing you to enjoy the lean-to as used along the Appalachian Trail and in the Adirondack mountains. The nearby stream is fed from a small nearby lake that teems with bass, sunfish and perch, offering an excellent opportunity to cast your line and see what you can catch. Best camp for Adirondackin’ it!

Hemlock Haven was a wonderful campsite! The Adirondack shelter was great to sleep in, and it kept a strong rainstorm off us overnight. The fireplace was perfect for cooking with a steel grillplate and pot-hook inside. Overall, the property was beautiful, with great trails through the pines and a beautiful creek and wood bridge. The outhouse was in stellar shape — always appreciated. We’ll be back again one day, for certain!

Perfect spot

The Adirondack shelter was a perfect spot to “glamp.” I slept like a baby as the dying fire from dinner warmed the interior. The meadow is a short walk from the site and you can see a full canopy of stars as there is very little light pollution. Jonathan was an awesome host, and gave us plenty of firewood for our stay. If there’s one small word of warning, the outhouse is primitive, but clean. Will definitely be coming back.
