This is a spot only 8 minutes from Eugene and the U of O campus, great restaurants and fun things to do. Our 12 acres have been in our family for 32 years. We no longer have the horses or put up hay like we did when the kids were still at home. The camp site which is well off or the road is large with the ability to turn around and orient in a direction you prefer. There is also plenty of room for your pets to run. The pasture can get a bit wet in the winter, so parking in the gravel barnyard is sometimes best (still plenty of room) Terry and Micki are your hosts. We have the Willamette river across the road 200 yards, biking on the property and tons of biking in Eugene. If it’s mountain biking you like then Oakridge is 29 miles up hwy 58. We only allow camping on our property for a maximum of one week at a time per customer and commonly block out days in order to continuously improve the property. Please inquire if you would like to request a longer stay.

There is also a portable toilet on site for your use during your stay. Upon request, we can accommodate additional RV sites if needed, with the same amenities as above, for an additional fee. Located just on the edge of McKenzie Bridge, Oregon. The site is on the McKenzie River with 150 ft. of riverbank to enjoy and explore. It is forested and beautiful with many spectacular views with seating available to relax and enjoy the wildlife, sights and sounds. This space has everything you need to relax and unwind in the privacy of the woods while also being centrally located to explore and experience the beautiful McKenzie Valley with all it has to offer. The site is at the end a loop which has two Airbnb rentals and one other small house, but the spot is separate and private.

Next to the historic Crawfordsville Covered Bridge. 8 miles from Brownsville, this town has been featured in multiple movies. 13.8 miles from Foster lake. On the bottom of the property there is a tree house, fire pit, and large grass field that could accommodate 20+ tents. Upper area is a rock parking area with RV hook ups. gas firepit, gas BBQ, and picknick table. I only rent to one group at a time. Rarely camping there when campers are there but father is on site (the grey house) to assist if needed.

Overview

Surrounded by the verdant Willamette National Forest in the foothills of the Cascade Range, Oakridge has long been popular with outdoorsy types looking to get back into nature, especially mountain biking aficionados. Originally a railroad logging town, this small community now provides goods and services for visitors to the surrounding woodlands, and is a great place to stop by to stock up on groceries and supplies before heading out on a camping trip. There are also a couple of motels right in town, as well as restaurants representing cuisine from around the world, pubs, and even a disc golf course.

Where to go

The Lakes and Reservoirs of Lane County

Oakridge is near plenty of fantastic spots for fishing and boating, including Elijah Bristow State Park, Dexter Lake, Fall Creek Reservoir, and Lookout Point Lake, all within a 30- to 45-minute drive of Oakridge. Just south of town, Hills Creek Lake offers around 44 miles of shoreline and three boat ramps.

Eugene and Around

When to go

Like elsewhere in western Oregon, the weather in Oakridge is at its most pleasant in the summer months, when temperatures tend to be warm (with highs in the 70s or low 80s) and the chance of rain is at its lowest. If you're in the area for camping and want good weather without the summer vacation crowds, consider visiting in September, after Labor Day.
