Relax in hot springs, hike to waterfalls, and explore sand dunes when camping near Halsey.
Although Halsey doesn't offer camping accommodations in town, there are nearby options 15 minutes north in Corvallis. Tent campers and big rigs can enjoy amenities like full hookups, wifi, and laundry facilities at campgrounds here. Or check in at a private cabin rental with bunk beds and a porch swing instead. The outdoors awaits in Siuslaw National Forest, roughly two hours east. Walk or OHV along towering waves of sand in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, hike to coastal landmarks like Devil’s Churn, or enjoy aquatic activities at Siltcoos Lake. Campsites for tents and motorhomes are all over the forest and generally feature water hookups, picnic tables, grill-topped firepits, flush toilets, and hot showers. Willamette National Forest serves up more camping under the trees with a remote lookout cabin or a RV site with picnic tables, firepits, drinking water, showers, and flush toilets. For ultimate relaxation, find a tent site next to Proxy Falls, the turquoise-tinged Blue Pool, or the bubbling waters of Terwilliger Hot Springs.
