Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
Our farm is a very special place in the heart of Portland. We have been farming continuously for 5 generations, since 1880! Our farm has seen many changes around us in such an urban setting. We focus on best sustainability practices as well as giving our local community access to agriculture. Sharing the land with fellow hipcampers helps us stay in business as well as continue to foster our positive impacts in the local community. Are you looking for the amenities of the city while also feeling away from the hustle? Come park your van on our historic urban farm in the city limits of Portland! 15 mins to hiking in the Columbia Gorge, and 15 mins to downtown. Vineyard lined parking sites, friendly goats, wifi, plus common area for laundry, restroom, and cooking!  15 minutes to downtown, 5 minutes to the Columbia River, 10 minutes to Blue Lake, 60 minutes to Mount Hood.  Our farm hosts private events and weddings on weekends in our main barn. We have a common area van camping site in our upper vineyard. You can expect some agricultural activity along with private events through the summer. We are additionally open to long term stays/caretaking for the right situation!

Camping with animals
Experiencing farm life for the first time, we camped out in our Tesla Model Y. The environment was fantastic, and it was incredibly peaceful at night! Not only could we see adorable sheep, but we also enjoyed breathtaking mountain views. Additionally, there were indoor shared kitchen facilities, laundry machines, and bathrooms, which was excellent for camping enthusiasts! The farm owners were also very responsive. Highly recommended!!

First Hipcamp experience.
Easily accessible, safe and secure. No problems with traffic or train noise. Depending on the wind direction airport proximity might bother some but it didn’t bother us. Fun to see the goats and turkeys out in the morning. If we are in the area again, we would return without hesitation. Easy access to freeways for visiting Portland proper.

Would not return
Host was friendly and communicative. Site was as described, camping area itself was clean and quiet. The host communicated that a friend was staying in the green building. The green building, which houses the kitchen and bathroom, was disappointing. There was a meal of fish and dishes filling both sides of the kitchen sink. I could not access the sink at 6 pm, and the sink was still full at 9a the next morning. The bathroom had no toilet paper, which I unfortunately did not realize until I was sitting on the toilet. I did find a roll in its plastic wrapper in the cupboard but apparently a puddle under the sink meant that the bottom of the wrapper was wet and dripped copious mildewed/rank water all over my pants and lap.

Gabrielle’s farm was perfect! I was looking for a safe place to camp pretty close to the 5 for the remainder of my drive the next day to Cali and it fit the bill. Facilities were clean and there was a nice heater in the shower room. Also a kitchen if you want to cook something up. Thank you!

Quiet! I only heard a train. I was more amuzed than annoyed. The restrooms were clean and heated. The wifi doesn't work. I used the wifi in the nearby Wendys when I had meals there. Good value for money!
