40 acres of secluded forest, fields, and orchards. Fern House is an abandoned once-was nursery and tree farm. Patches of overgrown plants and trees can be found all across the property. Enjoy fishing in the creek only steps from your campsite, or strolling in the cottonwood trees. You'll encounter all sorts of wildlife during your stay. Hang in a hammock, sleep in our 20ft. bell tent, or use one of our many tent camping sites. Large nearby field is perfect for stargazing!Complete privacy nestled down in our cottonwood forest. Stay in our 20ft. stella stargazing bell tent which is only steps away from the creek. King sized bed and comfy bedding are available, plus a small futon is available for an additional guest. Lovely Stay
We had a lovely stay at the Bell Tent! It was a chilly weekend, but the wood stove kept us warm and cozy. It was clean, very cute, spacious, and a lovely property to stay on. We enjoyed fires by the creek, walking through the forest, and slept great in the comfortable king bed. Will definitely be coming back to stay again!

Dionne was very kind.
Dionne was kind enough to partially refund a recent camping trip that we had to cancel due to weather. We only spent a few hours at the site but just loved the ambiance. Such a beautiful setting right next to the creek. The bathroom facilities were very nice and neat. Close to Portland, but felt removed from people. Don’t try to camp while heavy rain is in the forecast as it will be a muddy mess, and very we t in the tent. Our bad. Would recommend for a cute summer stay.

A beautiful weekend
I spent a lovely early fall weekend at the stargazer tent with my dog. During our time there we walked and wandered all over the property as my dog explored all the new sounds sites and smells. The tent itself is decorated very nicely and the bed was heavenly to sleep in. The fire pit down by the creek was heavenly and a perfect place to relax as the sun set. Communication with the owner was easy, the composting toilet was surprisingly nice, and the convenience of having the battery for running lights or recharging items was a Beautiful touch. They were only two potential caveats. One the owner has no control over, namely that sound travels and while the site is remote, the highway and other noises could be heard on and off throughout the night. Secondly, I worked hard to try to make sure my dogs paws were wiped before coming into the tent every time. If it was the rainy season that would've been exceedingly difficult. Without a dog, I wouldn't worry about it. Thanks for a beautiful weekend!

Absolutely gorgeous tent/yurt type of set up. Very friendly hosts and so cozy inside. Easy to find even in the dark with instructions. Stocked with coffee and electricity as well :)
