Located 35 minutes from Portland, Camp Sandy and Farm. This farm is over a 100 years old and the original barn is located on the property with plans to restore and bring it back to it's glory days! Due to the ongoing issues with forest fires in our area, we are not allowing open wood-burning fires. Propane fires are permitted, if you have a portable campfire ring, please feel free to bring your own. For your safety and ours: no check in/arrival after dark sets in. Around 5:15PM during winter months, 8:30PM summer. Campground hosts (Vanessa and Isiah) live on site and will greet you at arrival. There are many reasons why you would want to book a stay at Camp Sandy! We offer the perfect getaway for friends, family, reunions, retreats, or private getaway. PLEASE NOTE (read before booking): Parking is not near your campsite, you will need to park at the top of the hill (look for visitor parking sign) and walk 1/4 miles (15 minutes or less) to your campground. Note, you will need to walk back up the hill on your return, pack light, bring hiking shoes, and enjoy the view!! Other things to note: This is a real working farm, on the way down to your campsite you may see some farmers watering and taking care of their crops, feel free to give 'em a smile and a wave on your way down to the campsite! By next summer, guests will be able to buy farm produce and goods. How to access the river: There are signage indicating where the trail head begins. You will walk through beautiful forest to reach the beach. At the fork in the forest, keep right. We rate this hike medium to easy and will take the average hiker about 20 minutes or less. It’s an adventure and you will be rewarded with amazing views. If you want to access the sandy river by driving, we recommend you check out Dodge Park a 5 minute drive from Camp Sandy. Glamping in the forest!
We enjoyed our stay very much! This camp was a great place to try glamping for the first time. The board games were such a thoughtful addition to the several goodies included in the tent, we loved the giant Jenga blocks! The camp is nestled in a beautiful meadow in between majestic trees that give you the perfect amount of privacy while still feeling like you're in the wilderness. The cliff overlooking the river was so beautiful, and we loved that you could access the river from the camp with just a short hike! Would absolutely recommend this spot!

Fun glamping experience!
I really enjoyed my stay here! It was so cozy and the entire space was put together so thoughtfully and intentionally, with the hammocks, tables, Adirondack chairs, night lamps, camping lights inside the tent (especially helpful since I’d forgotten mine!), stove and kitchen ware for cooking...it was really lovely, and had everything you need for glamping :) I enjoyed hearing the coyotes at night, too!

Happy Campers!
I absolutely loved the bell tent, it was so adorable and so comfortable. We very much enjoyed playing the games that came with the site. The hammocks were a great touch. We loved the string lights at night. Such a peaceful area. The on-site hosts were very nice and accommodating. The walk to camp sites is long and steep, and is a long downhill walk to the river as well. There definitely needs to be more signage and more obvious signs to the river. We were only able to stay one night but couldn’t find the path to the river til the on-site host responded the next morning. It was a bummer we didn’t find the river til we were about to leave. but we now know for next time. All in all we’ll probably come back though🙂

Happy Campers!
My daughter and I had a wonderful experience on Kadoh’s beautiful property! The accommodations were fantastic, including the cozy and clean tent, the hammock under the pines, the well-equipped outdoor kitchen, and the clean and tidy restroom facility. One word of caution if you’ll be visiting with kiddos and hope to get down to the river: there is an extremely steep hillside you must get down (and get back up in your return) about 50 yards from the riverbank. My daughter and I made it all the way down only to have to turn back because there’s no way she would have made it safely down or back up the embankment. Definitely a bummer, as it was not a short hike to get to that point and taking a dip in the river was one of the main things we were looking to. Other than that, a lovely stay with lovely hosts!
