Our land is very private and beautifully sheltered by trees all around the campsite. There is an open field as well that also has trees on the outskirts. A video is available upon request! Fenella is a small village about 7 min away that has a large convenience/ grocery/Beer store as well as gas stations and Canabis beyond belief ! Go carts, food trucks and the best Butter Tart Factory as well! Warkworth is a town east of us about 20 min and Cobourg is 20 min South of us. Many shopping experiences available. Primrose Donkey Sanctuary is down the road a few minutes which we highly suggest visiting. Look their hours up before planning a visit! We have easy access up our road about 1 km to the Northumberland Trails where you can ride your horses, cycle, ride your ATVs,walk or jog. We have goats and can provide goat walks on our own trails when requested. We raise Organically Fed Pastured Chickens available for purchase as well as Free Range eggs!
Dogs are welcome as long as they are constantly on a leash, as we have chickens that free range!
We ask that you bring your own water and hydro please.
We hosted 35-40 endurance horses and their riders in August of 2022!

Learn more about this land:Come enjoy amazing views on our property in a rural area between Rice Lake and the north shore of Lake Ontario. On our grassy meadow, we have four tent or trailer campsites that can hold up to four guests per site. Pets are welcome if they stay on leash. You can canoe on a 30-acre pond, and walk through the forest to look for local wildlife. Peter’s Woods and the Northumberland County Forest are nearby.
Campfires are allowed on the property, and there is a water hookup for RVs (no electrical). Vehicles up to 35 feet long can be accommodated on a pull-in grassy site. There are no toilets, and generators are not allowed.
For exploring the area, Peter's Woods Provincial Nature Reserve is about 10 km away and has a hiking trail, and the Northumberland County Forest is just a few kilometres past that with more trails. Villa Conti Oak Heights Winery is just down the road. For food and shops, head about 15 minutes to Alderville.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Only 1-2 pets are permitted during your stay at the Dome.
Please note that Dome guests do not have access to Marmora Retreat's Farmhouse area, pool, and waterfront dock area.
The hot tub may require up to 4 hours to reach optimal temperature, which can vary depending on the outdoor temperature.
This year, we've encountered issues with wet wood, affecting our firewood supply. To ensure you have a cozy experience, we kindly request that all guests bring their own dry firewood. While we'll still offer firewood, we regret to inform you that we cannot guarantee its dryness. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Outdoor Fires - based around the Marmora township, all fire warnings are set at the time of your visit. All outdoor fires must be small, controlled and monitored at all times, they must also be put out with water before being left.
Sound - after 10:00 pm there is a noise curfew, but even before that you must make sure you are respectful of other guests on the property who come to relax, as well as our neighbors in this quiet countryside region. In the event of any noise rule violations, such as loud music or disturbances after 10:00 PM, a $500 fee will be applied from the deposit.
Power - we are on solar energy, embracing an eco-conscious lifestyle. Our off-grid setup ensures that your stay in the Dome is in harmony with nature. The water system operates on a pump-action system. Enjoy a sustainable, peaceful retreat, leaving a lighter impact on the environment during your stay.
