This Medical Marijuana Friendly Homestead is located in South Oklahoma City, right along the city limits. The Rembert Family Homestead sits on five acres with five gardens, an orchard (Summer 2021), and several animal enclosures. Half of the property is wooded with 60+ unattended acres adjacent. There are neighbors within view, but the wooded areas offer great privacy for tented camping. The wooded area is full of wildlife and vegetation, and it is not uncommon to see deer, skunk, squirrel, opossum, raccoon and turtles. Beware of thorns and small holes or burrows. It is advised that you wear tick repellent at all times in the warmer months. Hunting/target practice while visiting is permitted with .223 or lower for an additional fee. The Rembert Family Homestead is a great place to come and disconnect, experience farm life or even star gaze. Bring a telescope, a camera and a sense of wonder in nature--leave the stress behind. You can still order delivery, experience a farm fresh meal or cook your own on an open flame (wind permitting). Short gardening, clay forming, rifle, and other classes available upon request. Local history records in this area indicate that prior to The Trail of Tears, and subsequent land runs, that this land was already occupied most likely by the Osage. Following the Trail of Tears, Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, and Seminole Natives were known to occupy this territory. Later in 1889 there was a land run, in which allowed Euro-Americans began to settle.
