This hidden gem is tucked away in the middle of an industrial area of youngstown. One moment you'll be in the middle of a busy city and the next, you'll be engulfed into a peaceful retreat. As you travel up the drive the outside world slips away. You'll find yourself in a private escape surrounded completely by a barrier of overgrown brush and woods. Springtime video tour: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTL5E8DMW/This is located in the middle of an industrial area of Youngstown. As you go up the drive you'll find that the city slips away as you suddenly find yourself in a different peaceful world. Overgrown brush and woods completely surround the property. You'll find a hilly field scattered with a few trees. There is a small shallow creek running along one side of the perimeter.

Host was very responsive and accommodating. Site was just what we expected and hoped for, given its location. Would have been easier to explore the choice of sites in the daylight! We slept very well there and felt safe and happy :)

This was the perfect place for my needs (somewhere to pitch a tent with easy access from I80 that still felt isolated and safe)! Easy to find the driveway with directions, and I was the only person at the sites that night (a Monday) so I had plenty of space to pick from.

Convenient City Sanctuary
While I never would have happened upon Exploring Limits had it not been a convenient stopping point on my East to West roadtrip, it was a great experience in the heart of Youngstown. While access from a very normal looking urban street, the driveway brought you into a fairly secluded area hidden from the surrounding neighborhoods. I felt very secure with the chain fence and tree barrier on all sides. The night I camped here there were not other guests so there was ample space to pitch a tent in the open field. Amenities were limited but having a porta potty at the site was appreciated! There was ample space to walk my dog around the site and even a few deer that came to visit. You still could the light of the city and hear the nearby roads but things quieted down pretty quickly. As for the surrounding area, I would highly recommend visiting the "Noble Creature" brewery. A total gem with a dog friendly patio and live music!

Excellent urban camping.
The good: outstanding communication, very clear directions, very clean porta potty, and great overall campground vibe. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I had the same reasons - passing through the area and needing a place to stop and rest, The not so good: as clearly stated in the description, you should expect honking, loud music playing from passing cars, and possibly shouting. Many might find it unremarkable, but I found it difficult to actually sleep, through no fault of the owner. It’s a shame people aren’t able to respect their fellow citizens at 3-4am.

Such a lovely little treat within Youngstown! Getting there I biked through an industrial district, and then just past it (on the way to get food) was residential. It was quiet, with no other campers the night I was there. You're in the city so there's city sounds in the distance, but tucked into a lovely space. Also, bonus: the cleanest and nicest smelling porta-potty I have ever seen.

Surprising oasis in town
This is really unexpected in the middle of Youngstown. It's a private, sheltered space with spots behind bushes and trees, so there is more privacy that you might expect. It is definitely in an urban area, and you can hear the hum of the city, but for the price, it's awesome! I did wake to some screaming and swearing from the neighborhood beyond, but that is not the fault of the owner. Very green and pleasant!
