This property is over 5 acres and borders on two sides by a brook and Gammons Basin. It is extremely private and remote. There is a driveway and a clearing on which many types of berries grow. There is a cleared 5 minute trail to the oceanfront from the clearing. Not yet ready for a trailer, and vehicles will need to park in the driveway but the campsite is suitable for tents. The campsite is only a few minutes from Tor Bay Provincial Park and near the town of Larry’s River. Supplies in Guysborough, 20 mins away.Welcome to Basin Brook Camp!
If you like privacy and wilderness this is a great place to stay. The 5 acre property is bordered on one side by a freshwater brook and on another by oceanfront, and is on a main road. There is a marked trail to the water. You can park one vehicle in the driveway and set up as many tents as you like on the cleared space. There is a great beach only minutes away. You will find wildlife on the property and owls have been heard nearby.
The quaint Acadian town of Larry’s River is up the road and Tor Bay is in the other direction. Guysborough is also lovely and has stores and coffee, 20 mins away. Explore the Lost Shores of Nova Scotia from this camp. Canso is another nearly attraction. This is a great place to unwind and reconnect with nature.
