Near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
Within a 30-minute drive from the Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park Visitor Center.
The land is private, located in East Hawaii, the Puna district. Hawaii Island has 11 microclimates, and this is a Tropical wet, a rainforest. It is just a few miles from the entrance to Volcanos National park. You will experience warm tropical rain, luscious forests and coqui frogs and birds. The weather is cool and it does rain every day. The spartan cabin has all the basics and a hot shower for your end of day relaxation. You can use the cabin for cooking and rain protection and gear storage. Your tent site has a platform and rain protection. There are few neighbors, this part of Hawaii Island is country culture and local people. Aloha, Mahalo and Malama Pono are the words to live by. Tours to all the East Hawaii attractions and the Volcano are available upon request. It is critical that renters arrange their own transportation or a tour.Aloha and mahalo for finding our sweet little off-grid Oasis in Mountain View Hawaii.. in proximity to volcano national Park and with easy access to the Bohemian/creative small towns on the big islands like Pahoa and Hilo which are only 20 minutes away. If coming by way of our more touristy, larger town of Kailua-Kona.... You'll find us between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa volcanoes...Both Volcanoes are over 13,000 feet above sea level and occasionally one will find snow as well as molten lava, beautiful at night. Our rustic off-grade campsite is a short drive to the beaches, drum circles, and live music / artist communities. Composting toilet , Solar Power outlets and electricity. We have attental set up for you with a lean-to shelter and shower access. Enjoy the big island sky and beautiful stars at night by the fire pit, we're all cooking essentials are also located. Bring your own sleeping bags and food, minimalist cookware and dishes etc are available. Explore an authentic off-grid living experience, please come and enjoy this beautiful sanctuary in nature, with Aloha. Not for inexperienced campers, we are in nature.
