Learn more about this land: Are you looking for a cozy authentic homestead cabin for an unforgetable experience of the past way of life. Just a simple cabin - electric and plumbing have been updated for your stay but infused with history to let you experience how simple life used to be. The rustic structure sits a side a beautiful clearing and has a covered porch and a small loft. It has two resting room, one bath, family gathering room and meal time room. Adjacent to the homestead hideaway is a typical North Carolina hay barn and firepit area. Easy to get to and close to Waynesville, the Pigeon RIver and Asheville is short drive trip. This is more than a camp site or clamping spot. Its a cabin oozing with charm - reflecting nature and simple farm life resting within the Pine Mountains of Clyde.Breakfast of farm-fresh eggs and enjoy the slow-paced sanctuary set amidst hardwoods and rhododendrons. It began life as a barn, but today is a cozy well-appointed home away from home. Centrally located between Waynesville and Maggie Valley and only 40 Minutes from Asheville, the cabin is a great base place for all your mountain adventures. Please feel free to explore Lucky Barn 4 acres. There is a Silo private fire pit area with supplied wood. Also during your visit, the outdoor kitchen, large inside gathering rooms with indoor stone fireplace is exclusively yours. This is not a "barndominium" but rather a real barn for a stay to make memories in and among the mountain views. Bring pets? - No problem, please share information prior to stay for acceptable furry family.

Dream Vacation Tied up in a Red Bow

This is like a dream-world all tied up in a big red bow. From the moment we arrived to the barn, our stress decreased and we were just in awe of all that this property has to offer. The cool fan over the kitchen workspace, the working fireplace in the family, the gorgeous master bathroom, the 2 bedrooms in the stalls, and then? The silo firepit!! This is the epitome of the perfect getaway! Thank you, Julie, for all the special touches and attention to detail. We loved every minute!

1000/10. Absolutely AMAZING setup; Julie’s barn met and exceeded every single expectation. Gorgeous land and scenery and beautifully decorated. Plenty to do in the area and we’re thinking about making this a yearly trip. Thank you Julie!!

Stay at your own risk!!

The cabin itself is exactly as pictured. However, the host wasn't the easiest to work with. After not receiving entry information, it was like pulling teeth to get the code to the lock box on the front door. Lost power on the second day of our stay. Local utility claims no outages in the area. Since it is now dark, cold, and raining... with no electricity (think lights, heat, water, etc...), we were forced to find a hotel. Supposedly, the electricity was restored to this semi-remote location within minutes of our abandoning our stay. So far, no help at all from the host, or Hipcamp!

My mother and myself had an amazing time at our stay! The place was clean and organized and we felt very at home from the beginning. We'd planned on going camping, but found this amazing spot and decided to have a great luxury glamping experience! Fire pit was very coinvent and the rocking chairs on the front porch was our favorite spot to hang out!

Historic charm

What a wonderful step back in time. Charming, rustic cabin in an absolutely gorgeous setting. Bed was comfy and Julie had thoughtful amenities. Was easy to find, felt safe & relaxed. I truly wish we had just had more time to explore and enjoy. Look forward to returning.
