Just 25 minutes to the amazing city of Asheville, North Carolina and less than 20 minutes to Marshall, where you can find groceries, laundry, and more. We are also only 45 minutes from the famous Max Patch, 60 minutes from DuPont Forest, 75 minutes from Cherokee, 90 minutes from Lake James, and under 2 hours from Linville Gorge. Roads are well maintained and suitable for most vehicles.
Nature and nurture abound in this secluded, family-friendly retreat. The creek runs along the property, so you’ll be able to hear it as you wake up and again as you fall asleep at night. There is also a trail that runs through the whole property that you can use to explore without ever leaving the land.
Enjoy hiking, biking, and wildlife watching, or just relax and meditate to the sounds and smells of the local wildlife.
Your Hosts live partially on site and will greet you upon arrival, but we are then happy to grant you as much privacy as you like unless you contact us for assistance during your stay.
Note that we have three total Hipcamp sites, so you may see other campers in common areas or in passing on the property, but you can still expect plenty of seclusion during your visit.

Sleep in your own tents, vans, or truck campers while also enjoying the amenities we provide to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Specifically:
Take advantage of the outhouse which features a “sawdust flush” toilet.
We also offer a rustic shower experience, which consists of a watering can on a pulley in the outhouse. One to two cans of pre-heated water offer a complete 15-minute shower. Biodegradable soap is provided.
For cooking, we provide an outdoor sink and cooking area with a propane burner, grill and grate, basic camping pots, dishes, and a wash area. We can also provide a cooler if need be. PLEASE be mindful that we have bears on the property so wash dishes well and pack up all food materials and scraps away from your tent area when done.
Firewood is provided, and we offer a private fire pit where you can enjoy s’mores or a cozy beverage. Please fully extinguish fires after use, and always follow county restrictions if there is a fire ban due to dry weather.
Additional details to note
Pets are allowed, but note that we do have neighbor dogs and are close to a busy road, so your pets may only be off leash if they are good about staying close and obeying voice commands.
There is limited cell service onsite and no WiFi, so please plan accordingly before arriving.
