Buxton Soundfront Sunsets
Beautiful, with a few catches.
This is a beautiful camping spot, with a few exceptions: you’ll be within 100 ft of a decently busy road, there’s a house about 40 feet through the woods on one side of which lights can be seen at night. Additionally, this site worked out for us because we sleep in our truck, tent camping would be difficult on this property due to bumpy ground surface. You better have 4x4 if you plan on truck camping here, off of the small concrete pad which is not level. All of that being said, the campsite worked for us, given our truck, but we did expect it to be more secluded with more space to choose from. 80% of the acre mentioned is marsh and water.

Needs work
Overall we had a great experience. However the directions needed to be updated and the site needed to be cleared out. It’s also right next to busy road and next to a house with bright lights. It has the potential to be amazing but the owner just has to give it more worm

Great little unimproved waterfront
Nice little spot for some car camping. Owner cleared some brush before we arrived which was very helpful for finding and setting up a spot. Right on the sound which was cool although we didn't take advantage of that water access. The property is mostly sand and grass, so our AWD handled the pull off well. Close to the lighthouse, restaurants. Sat night I believe a nearby restaurant had some loud music till maybe 11 ish. I thought it was fun, but some of my family were grumbly. Sunday night was quiet. I'd say our other note is that the neighbors house lights could be fairly bright(in the night) if you're looking for a darker spot. Not very private, but moreso than at a campground. Ultimately this was a great spot.
