This property is located on a dead end dirt road. It was purchased in the fall of 2017 to be transformed into a small wholesale medicinal herb farm. Since then, it has been cared for, planted and loved. The small farmhouse is over 150 years old and once was the end of the road. The road has since been extended  a bit. There have been stories told of gypsies that roamed the property, the grumpy old man that used to live in house, and even the possibility of a native American grave site on the land. Across the street an additional 18 acres of open space and wooded hills has been purchased to expand growing and allow room for a greenhouse. Herb walks and farm visits are being scheduled for the summer months. Learn more about this land: Welcome to Tree Star Farm, a medicinal herb farm in the gorgeous Batten Kill valley of upstate NY.  Located on a dead-end dirt road, the quiet solitude of this private campsite tucked into a corner of a wooded area of the farm is accompanied by the songs of the many local birds-including an owl or two! Wander through the gardens and learn about medicinal plants that surround us...Herb walks for children and adults can be arranged. This site is not far from the gardens and the farmhouse.  When you want to venture out, we are a short drive to quite a few amenities including, the Battenkill Creamery, R.S. Taylor Brewery, Gardenworks gifts and specialty foods, Salem Art Works sculpture Park, museums, public swimming areas, kayaking and tubing on the Batten Kill River and more. We are less than an hour away from Vermont, Lake George,  Saratoga Springs and historic Schuylerville. Come and enjoy the beauty of Washington County!
