Lil Cabin in the woods
We very much enjoyed our stay at Lil cabin in the woods. The house was cozy and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen that we made use of by eating all our meals there. We took a trip to Letchworth for some hiking during the day and enjoyed the firepit both nights. It was a lovely breath of fresh air from the city. The pictures accurately depicted the space and Tom was a gracious host. We recommend this spot!

Lil Cabin in the woods
This was a perfect spot for us to have a few day get away with our pup. Tom greeted us when we arrived. His family has had this cabin and unique property since the 90s.
The cabin address is 6804 Currier Road.
Look the the green barn across.
There is also a red and white sign with the address as well as a sign running along the road that says Jeannes Lane.
The cute little cabin sits way back. It just a short little walk to a short hiking trail, a bass pond and farm.
The stay was super dog friend. We were to grill dinner each night and have a nice fire. There is a full kitchen and space is comfortable.

Lil Cabin in the woods
I made the right choice
We really enjoyed our stay at The Lil Cabin in the woods. The cabin had everything we needed. When we arrived we unpacked & immediately went to the pond to go fishing. This was the main reason I chose the cabin. We were not disappointed. We caught several bass. We also used the paddle boat. There are a few poles on the deck if you forget poles or didn't bring enough. My son shot a few hoops when he was done fishing. There is a horse shoe pit that we didn't have time to enjoy. There was a storage cabinet that had several other games like corn hole....so make sure to check it out. The cabin had everything we needed. Fully stocked with utensils, pots & pans, toaster, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and pods, toaster oven even a blender :) The TV with Direct TV was great at night to watch movies....a huge plus with kids. The refrigerator was full size & had many condiments that I had forgot to bring so it was nice it was stocked. The cupboards had plenty of plates, bowls, glasses & coffee cups. I didn't bring spices but they had some there, and cooking spray & oil. I forgot butter & it was there. There is a water dispenser there as well. The shower worked great...the water is so soft I almost didn't need conditioner. Plenty of towels provided. The toilet worked great. Plenty of toilet paper. There's a first aid kit & band aids...something else I forgot & the cabin had :) Under the sink plenty of cleaning supplies & paper towels. Garbage bags are provided. If you forgot something just look around & the Lil Cabin probably has it somewhere. The couch was comfortable & the air conditioner was a huge plus because it was HOT. But turning on the air conditioner & ceiling fan cooled us right off. At night the fireplace was a nice touch when it got cooler & it works great. We lit some candles & dimmed the lights. Very relaxing. The back deck is huge...we enjoyed relaxing outside. I loved the Weber grill. I grilled each day. But I also used the stove & oven. We went for walks & followed paths that led to the barn...a huge hit for my daughter. There was 2 roosters & 2 sheep. Gloria is the brown sheep...she is the mama. Herman is her son. He was so friendly when we would pet him...wagging his tail. Alec let the sheep & roosters roam in the field & brought in new younger chickens to the coop. He included us to witness the introduction of new chickens to the group. He showed us the chicken coop where the chickens started laying eggs. It was fun being involved. Alec is wonderful & made us feel so welcomed. I couldn't have asked for a better place to get away from everyday life in the burbs. It was beautiful, peaceful & quiet. So much to see and do. The days seemed to fly. We also had wonderful weather & I got some color while fishing. We ventured off a few times to local Silver Lake & Cuba Lake. Places we would have never traveled to if not for the close proximity. This is a wonderful place for family and friends to get away from it all. There's a nice fire pit as well & plenty of wood. This Lil Cabin had it all. Thank you for sharing your property with us & we hope to come again in the future :)

Lil Cabin in the woods
Great small cabin and bunk house
The Lil cabin in the woods was prefect for a nice fall getaway to the countryside. The cabin location was set way off the main road, overlooking the hills to the east for a great sunrise. We even saw some hot air balloons in the distance. The cabin itself was kept up very well. 2 bedrooms in main cabin. 1 had a bunk bed, 1 probably standard size bed. All blankets, pillows, ect. were included. Bathroom was a bit tight, but functional. Bunkhouse was perfect for extra people to sleep. Kitchen had all essential cookware. Deck and fire pit were nice to hang out on. Would be perfect for a small family camping trip if you don't want to stay in a state park area. Tom was a great host, checking in before and after our stay, and making sure heat was on in cabin before our arrival. And his two sheep were a great touch! We will likely be booking this again in the future.
