Sapphire Coast Dairy-Homestead

5 sites · RVs, Tents929 acres · Greendale, NSW
376 hectare operating dairy farm next to Biamanga National Park with access via secret 4WD track to the mountain and 22km to Brogo Dam for bass fishing. 16.5 kms to shopping centre of Bega. & 34 km to Tathra beach. The property has eucalyptus forest, rainforest gullies, fresh mountain water and abundant wildlife include bellbirds and lyrebirds. The campsite is at the original 1908 selection block by the late John Pearce (one of the first settlers in the area) and has extensive views. in dry weather you can get here in 2WD towing a small camper trailer. There is a steep hairpin bend so I do not recommend caravans with 2WD vehicles (4WD vehicle and caravan could handle this). If you have queries regarding access check photos in gallery or please ask me. Flushing toilet on site. Dogs permitted. Good telephone and internet reception. Ideal for flying your new drone.

Bunga Summit

5 sites · RVs, Tents25 acres · Bermagui, NSW
Beautiful Coastal farmland near to Mimosa Rocks National Parks. Easy to access. Close to stunning townships of Bermagui just 15mins north and Tathra 30mins south. Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf. Please note there are 5 beehives approximately 20metres to the east of the shed. This is not a camping area. Please keep to the western side of the shed for camping. Beware, bees do not like dogs and will sting them if the dogs go up close to the hives. There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank and a compost toilet at the back of the shed. To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed and beehives are. Please note the 1st gate on the right on Wrens Rd with the hipcamp sign and No.2 written on post is for Bunga Surf Shack which is on a separate property. To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. Please note this road is in poor condition with deep ruts and whilst many 2wd cars do make it down to the beach, I would recommend a 4wd or a car with good clearance. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here. To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is a much smoother road, taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui. For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast. Sara 0435 614 243 Please be respectful of neighbours and do not fly drones over private property.

The best camping near Wallaga Lake National Park guide

Overview

Wallaga Lake Caravan Parks

Watched over by the looming peak of Gulaga Mountain, Wallaga Lake is the region’s largest lake and a popular getaway for road-trippers, bird-watchers, and campers along the coast of southern NSW. At Wallaga Lake National Park, now part of Gulaga National Park, you can hire boats to cruise the lake, fish for salmon and bream, cool off with a swim in the summer months, or try your hand at water sports from kayaking to water skiing. Campers can choose from three holiday parks on the southeast shore of the lake, all of which offer spacious powered sites for motorhomes and caravans, along with amenities such as a camp kitchen, fire pits, and an outdoor swimming pool. Alternately, escape the crowds at a rural Hipcamp and park your caravan in the heart of a fig orchard, on a working dairy farm, or at a remote camp with views across the mountains.
