Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Our beautiful property is a working farm. Our farming activities include Merino sheep breeding and grazing, lambs, grain and hay. Our retreat offers a classical bush rock labyrinth, fire pits, lookouts, conservation areas, bird watching, wildflowers, stargazing and unique rock formations upon the lookouts. Visitors can meet Kev, a sixth generation Aussie farmer, and Therese a teacher and labyrinth facilitator. You can go on bush walks along the paths provided, but in high summer and warm weather please be mindful of snakes. They live here too. Check out the local village of murals #visiteugowra and enjoy good old fashioned country hospitality. The camping sight has great views, is quiet and peaceful, and is close to the creek and the hills where you can listen to magpies warbling or watch the sheep grazing as you drink your coffee in the morning. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking in the hills to various lookouts enclosed shoes are required and we offer a range of retreat experiences including a guided farm tour $50 pp (children free) and the guided labyrinth meditation walk $30 pp (children free). Please see our Extras. We are located only 14 km NW from our local village of murals, Eugowra, home of the The Eugowra Museum and Bushranger Centre, Nangar National Park and Escort Rock where bushrangers Ben Hall and Frank Gardiner robbed the stage coach - the largest gold robbery in Australian History. While you're here we recommend you to visit The Fat Parcel Food Van, The Ray's Bistro at the Eugowra Community Bowls and Recreation Club. Get your supplies from our supermarket and hardware. A courtesy bus runs every Saturday evening to the local Bowlie. We are in a great central location to many sights and attractions. Close to Canowindra, home of the Fish Fossil Museum, Hot Air Ballooning in the autumn and the Perenialle Nursery. Close to Gooloogong where you can visit Croote Cottage, the town of Cowra and the Japanese Gardens, Forbes and The Wiradjuri Dreaming Centre, the AMAZING sculpture trail and Grazing Down the Lachlan. Not far is Parkes with its famous Dish, The Elvis Festival, and Cudal the home of the platypus be sure to check out The Platypus Cafe. Toogong with its stirring and memorable Anzac Day dawn service. No pets please. This is a working farm and we ask you to observe our biosecurity rules when entering onto the property.
