Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Our 1200 acre property has sheep, cattle and mixed cropping, and is a regenerative property located approx 20 minutes west of Glen Innes. Morilla is now run by 3rd generation farmers. We have beautiful views from various vantage points and gorgeous creeks that run through the property in which campers get to enjoy. The creek is a safe and perfect place for children to play and swim and offers the ideal location for a picnic. You will get to spot some of our stock wandering the paddocks, along with a variety of wildlife that pass through. Our sky is big and you can watch it come to life at night with stars . Our surrounds are quiet, private and peaceful. Our camping sites allow for both small and large groups . Each campsite has a designated fire pit. Fallen timber may be collected for fires (no chainsaws please), or alternatively firewood may be purchased on arrival. Most sites have 2WD access, however high clearance all-wheel drive recommended for some sites. While away your days picnicking by the creek and watching the sunset, or explore the surrounding National Parks and other attractions that the Glen Innes area has to offer. Morilla looks forward to welcoming you and sharing our little slice of nature.Camp beside the gorgeous Back Plains Creek, on maintained grassy sites. The sites are just off the dirt driveway, only 1km off the main road and have their own campfire area.  Spend your time by the creek, under the shade of the gum trees and keep an eye out for grazing stock and roaming deer and other wildlife. We have beautiful views from various vantage points and gorgeous creeks that run through the property in which campers get to enjoy.  The creek is a safe and perfect place for children to play and swim and offers the ideal location for a picnic.  Campfires are permitted. Fallen timber may be collected and used - or split wood can be purchased on arrival. Please note campfires are dependent on fire bans. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. We are located 20mins from Glen Innes for all your supplies and groceries. We have 8 sites available - campers may choose which they prefer on arrival and depending on availability. The campsites are 2WD accessible, but we have four sites where high clearance all-wheel drives are recommended. If you're unsure, please message us to discuss your vehicle. No pets please. Do you love fresh espresso coffee first thing in the  morning?? Just because you're camping doesn't mean you have to skip your morning ritual. Hot coffees can be delivered to your site - just ask us for more details when you arrive.

Wow what a beautiful place to stay. We really enjoyed the clear skies that were lit up by stars, the frogs in the creek sung us to sleep of a night and woke to the sound of singing birds. We would highly recommend morilla rd to anyone who wants to disconnect from the busy modern life.

Very peaceful bush camping.
We loved staying here. We were the only ones camping and loved the peace and quiet, views and heaps of firewood around to use. The hosts greeted us and checked in a couple of times during our 3 day stay but were respectful of our space too. The sites on the lower level are easy to set up on however we found it extremely difficult to find a level space on the upper hill!! I would highly recommend for a self sufficient camp. Thanks for having us.🙏

Great camp sites but some are within 20m of each other. No other campers when we were there so all quiet for us. Brigitte met us at campsite, directions were easy to follow. Some trails for walking, small creek and a friendly cow for company. Someone had shut the gates while we were camped and these were a bit difficult to open and close on our exit. Otherwise all good.

We didn’t want to leave.
So quiet & peaceful. Falling asleep to the sound of a bubbling creek. The air so clean & fresh. Brigitte delivered coffee to the campsite & a meat, egg & vegetable pack with flowers. Meeting Brigitte & the kids was lovely, they were so warm, friendly & welcoming. There were a variety of spots to choose from. I will definitely be going back. We didn’t want to leave, we felt so relaxed. We had a campfire & watched the stars. We stayed for 5 nights & wished it could of been longer.

Morilla….the road to tranquility!
Our stay at Morilla Rd was far too short. What a beautiful and peaceful stay we had. The hosts were so lovely and the meat tray they have on offer 10/10 we highly recommend!
