Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Great spot!
Beautiful spot but hope to go next time when it's not a public holiday and a can have a bit more space.

Beautiful spot!
Second time I have been here and considering it was the Easter weekend we were not on top of each other . Area was mowed and vans were parked along the river … My dogs always love it here as they enjoy being off the lead …

Slice of paradise
Camping at Bahwidgee was our first time camping in Australia & it exceeded our expectations with a beautiful crisp river to wake up to everyday, we went during the Easter period so there was alot of people but still enough room for you to feel in your own space, everyone was very well behaved which was awesome to be able to listen to the bats & possums of a night time with a warm cosy fire (also great burning wood in the add on pack - well worth it) It was so great we actually booked an extra night, we didn’t want to leave. Host was very friendly & accommodating making sure everyone was happy & settling in well which was lovely to see. 10/10 would stay again but bringing the whole family next time. Great job & thanks again for allowing the public to stay on your land.

River frontage was great. River cool with consistent current but we enjoyed many refreshing dips each day. Dog friendly worked for us. Site was mown and tidy . Ample room for our off road van. Wayne busy, engaging and friendly.
