Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm. We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park. Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile. There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied. We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask. We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag. We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs. We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

Pleasant stay
We had a quick one night stay and really enjoyed it. We were the only ones there , so we had the country serenity all to ourselves. The amenities were very clean and our dog was welcomed. We didn’t get any firewood (nor did we ask for any, as we had our own anyway) but maybe just come prepared with your own. A very pleasant stay!

Our stay was overshadowed by a major rain event, so we were unable to light a cooking fire on the morning we left. That was not the fault of the owners. They provided clean bathrooms and fire sites with wood and kindling, which built into a lovely evening of community with fellow campers and we cooked our evening meal over an open fire. There were no camp kitchen facilities, but we were made welcome and well behaved dogs were allowed off leash. The facilities were as expected and we enjoyed our time here. We look forward to returning when the lavender is in flower.

Absolutely loved the scenery on Tim’s land. The lavender smelt lovely as you walk past the fields. We had a Quick Look at the shop where we met Tim’s cats and dog and also purchased some lavender tea and scones which were so yummy. The toilets and showers were very clean and well kept, a far walk from where we set up along the hill. Tim and team dropped firewood right at our doorstep and there was more than enough for everyone even on the busy Easter break. Such a relaxing time away. The sunrise and sunset was stunning. Will definitely be coming back here. Tim and family were lovely to meet.

We had an amazing time! Tim was super nice and met with us at the house, and explained where to go to get to camp. The showers/bathrooms were lovely and clean. And the ladies running the gift shop were so lovely! Highly recommend!
