Mountain RV spot at Elk Ridge Ranch
Three Day Oasis
We booked last minute due to a change in our travel plans and we are so glad we did! Dale and Sue were great hosts, so friendly and welcoming but not at all intrusive. Communication was great. The site was level and hook ups just right. We really enjoyed our three relaxing nights at Elk Ridge and my two boys loved the chance to feed the elk and the bison. There are trails close by and we enjoyed a view of the solar eclipse at the pool edge on the last day. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thanks Dale and Sue!

Mountain RV spot at Elk Ridge Ranch
Susan and Dale were exceptional host, and we will definitely come back to this beautiful place. The campsite was level and spacious, next to a beautiful pond. Their elk and bison are a plus to visit and learn about. 5stars!!

Mountain RV spot at Elk Ridge Ranch
Elk Ridge is a beautiful property with Elk and Bison located on the property. Our kids even got to pet and feed them. The hosts of this property were super friendly and helpful and made setting up the RV super easy. The site is pretty level with connections close to the RV site. There is even a good amount of room to manoeuvre around. Elk Ridge is also pet friendly. The location is centrally located to Albuquerque and Santa Fe at the base of a mountain. You are close to hiking trails and the National Forest. To get deeper in the National Forest you will need a 4 x 4. While you are located at the base of a mountain you are still close enough to restaurants, stores, and propane while still maintaining a peaceful stay. We will definitely put this on our list to return to if in the area. Would recommend to everyone.

5 Days of Albuquerque Mountain agic
What can I say other than AMAZING! Up to the mountains we parked our Class C for 5 days in a sweet little spot. Phil met us on arrival; site was level and tidy with fauna to add to the privacy from the main house and fenced animals. Although the weather overnight was more than we bargained for in November, we were prepared with proper winter clothing and an adventurous spirit. The grounds were creatively arranged, and Phil prepared the firepit for us to have smores on a moonlit night. Phil and Sue were friendly, warm hosts who shared their love of their animals - elk and bison. I would 100% stay in this camp again as it epitomizes the stark difference between where I live in New England with the beautiful western mountains.

Fantastic
Our stay at Elk's Ridge Ranch was simply wonderful. Feeding apples to the bison was a unique and memorable experience, and watching the magnificent stag elk with his harem was a real treat. The views were picture-perfect, the accommodation & hosts Dale & Susan were outstanding, Their handcrafted pool is a thing of beauty. It was a fabulous stay in beautiful Placitas, New Mexico. We can't wait to return!
