Drive down a quiet dirt road to find our campsites nestled in a field under the stars and with a view of Chocorua mountain. The property used to be a farm so it still has that beautiful New England charm. Surrounded by pristine woodlands, babbling streams, and the White Mountains. Non-aggressive leashed dogs are welcome. **Please note there is a bear that frequents the property!** At this time we ask that you carry out all of your waste, but we do have a compost toilet on the property for camper’s use. 2/10 of a mile from the Liberty trail for Mount Chocorua. Less than a 15 minute drive to whiteface and Passaconway. The Hemenway state forest is 3/10 mile away. 40 min or so to North Conway. 12 min to quaint center of Tamworth.

Van Camping - Paugus Brook Farm

Paugus Brook Farm was a comfortable and convenient place to camp in the Whites. I was thrilled that Paugus Farm was still open for campers in late October, when there are very few camping options in the Whites. The host (Matt) was very fast in responding to my questions before my stay. Side note: The outhouse was the nicest outhouse I have ever visited. It smelled of nothing but lovely sawdust.

Paugus Brook Farm

Matt's property is beautiful. It is a large open grassy area with access to an outhouse. I was the only one there for the night and it was great! Very quiet and peaceful. Matt was quick to respond to any questions I had. The entrance to the camping area was a bit difficult to spot from the road with all the leaves on the ground. It is to the far right of the house next to the tree line and goes back behind the red barn. I would definitely stay again!!! Thanks Matt!!

Paugus Brook Farm

Easy to follow instructions, very communicative host. Easy-to-get-to, quiet, secluded and somewhat fenced (chicken wire-like) open backyard space site surrounded by woods. We camped in our SUV. Clean outhouse but height of stool was uncomfortable so I just opted to use the forest mostly. Wifi didn’t work at all in the backyard space, maybe it would closer to the house. Didn’t see the bear but heard lots of forest sounds at night.

Great place to camp!

Great place to camp! Super detailed instructions were given and it was a super convenient location for hiking Mt Chocorua. Nice to be able to drive up and pick a spot to pitch our tent. Wi-Fi access when near the house was super helpful for getting maps/etc. when in an area with sporadic cell service.
