The Old Bow Range

2 sites ¡ RVs, Tents6 acres ¡ Miramichi, NB
Lose yourself in the middle of a fairytale 6.5 acre old growth forest with the most beautiful 150 + year old pine trees that keep watch over everyone, and a peaceful little creek that flows through the heart of the place. It’s the perfect place to get away from the noise of life and hang out with a couple of old hippies. We have space for 2 or 3 small vehicles only, as we keep our footprint small to preserve and protect the forest. Vanlifers, gypsies, travellers, hippies, free spirits are welcome! The Old Bow Range is our private family land where we live and homestead in a tiny cabin. We love meeting other travellers like ourselves, and hanging out around the fire in the evenings, or lounging down by the river.

The Orchard - Bell Tent Glamping NB

4 sites ¡ Lodging100 acres ¡ Tay Creek, NB
Located only 25 minutes from Fredericton, NB, this sprawling old-growth apple orchard features 3 privately placed bell tents, a hot-tub, barbecues, and indoor lodge with kitchen, bathroom, games room, and library space. Described by a past guest as "something out of a fairytale", the orchard is defined by towering old-growth apple trees, a meandering brook with multiple bridge crossings, meadows brimming with lupins and golden rod, the remnants of stone fences from when the land was farmed, patches of wild berries, and a growing network of trails connecting all these enchanting elements. Perhaps even more beautiful after sunset, strings of fairy lights illuminate the paths to the tent sites and fireflies fill the void in between. An unofficial dark sky sanctuary, you will enjoy unparalleled views of the stars while your ears are treated to the distant calls of bullfrogs and the hoot of owls flying overhead. We look forward to welcoming you to the fairytale orchard!

Welcome to our picturesque farm, nestled along the serene Nashwaak River, offering the perfect retreat for fishing and ATV enthusiasts. Our campers enjoy total privacy right at the riverfront, set amidst ample acres away from our main home to ensure a peaceful and secluded experience. Rest assured, we're here if you need us! For those with a taste for adventure, the ATV trail runs through the property, providing easy access for camping, fishing, ATV excursions, and even floating down the river with Nashwaak Valley Tube rental. Your nearest neighbors are our wildly popular 4 mini cows, who might just appreciate a visit and some carrots if you're in the area! Embrace the off-grid experience, as we do not have hydro or water hookups. Fresh water from the river is plentiful, and we offer a clean outhouse on the premises for your convenience. Dogs are more than welcome, but please be mindful of the electric fence around the cows. For their safety, it's wise to keep your furry friends within bounds. We look forward to hosting you on our tranquil farm, where the beauty of the Nashwaak River and the company of our mini cows create an idyllic setting for a memorable and peaceful getaway.

If you're looking for a place to enjoy nature and solitude.  THIS IS IT! To be candid, this IS NOT a party place!  So, if that's what you're looking for, this is definitely NOT for you!  Our goal is to provide a safe and peaceful place for our guests (and us) to Relax, Get Outdoors and Enjoy Nature, Get Back To Basics, and to Unplug and Unwind! Here at "The Old Canoe", we currently have two vacation rentals (Cabin 4, and "Main Street" the Bus).  These are available in the warmer months only.  We may add a couple more in the future, but our goal is to keep it small and quaint so that our guests have their space and enjoy their privacy. Cell phone service is very poor in this area, so it's a great opportunity to UNPLUG and get away from the daily hustle and bustle!  We do provide Free LIMITED Wi-Fi for registered guests who would like to check messages or emails, etc. This property has a variety of terrain, including clearings, forest, thickets, paths, maple groves, and the Cumberland Bay Stream which flows through marsh wetlands and empties into Grand Lake (the largest fresh water lake in New Brunswick).  It offers an abundance of wildlife, plant life, fresh air, tranquility, relaxation, and has the ideal setting for leisurely water sports such as canoeing, kayaking, row boating, or paddle boarding. During your stay, you might see birds such as woodpeckers, wild turkeys, ducks, geese, cranes, or eagles.  You may even catch a glimpse of foxes, deer, moose, otters, beavers, frogs, or turtles!  Don’t forget your camera! Have a siesta or read a book while relaxing in your hammocks.  Stroll through paths or the Shore Road, and Relax in various seating areas throughout our property. If you plan on going fishing, it is your responsibility to check with Natural Resources and Energy Development for license information.  We do not provide fishing gear. Cumberland Bay is a small community, centrally located between three major New Brunswick cities (Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John).  It has it's own volunteer Fire Department, churches, and a small public wharf nearby (The Range Wharf). The nearby communities of Young's Cove, Waterborough, and Chipman are all within a 10 to 15 minute drive.  You'll find churches, convenience stores, gas bars, take-outs, local markets, public swimming, marina, and boat launch.  In your vacation rental, there is a Welcome Binder with detailed information about these places. Come to Cumberland Bay and experience this hidden gem of nature! Get back to the basics, Unplug, Unwind, Enjoy nature ... RELAX!
