We are happy to share our property with Hipcampers and look forward to hosting you! Two sites available (one with shed & one open area to camp). There is cell reception at the site. Pit toilet available. Pets permitted on-leash. This is a large vacant lot on a rural road with neighbours on both sides. There is a trail starting on the right property line (looking AWAY from the road) you are welcome to explore about 1km back into the woods. We encourage you to Hike to Waterloo Lake (about 2km), there are nearby waterfalls and trails, Lake George is close by (day-use fee), as well as Harvey Lake (free park, swimming + boat launch). While in the area we also suggest you check out the historic Kings Landing! Harvey Station and Frederiction are nearby for all your camping essentials.

Learn more about this land: Come join us at the Gaylin Farms – home to two friendly goats, Newfoundland ponies, a horse, Chanticler chickens, three dogs and a cat. Stay at our completely private cabin (sleeps 3 comfortably, sleeping mats/air mattresses NOT provided) isolated within the centre of a gorgeous 25-acre forest with a private groomed c. 1.5 km walking/biking trail. The cabin is a 5-minute walk from the Trans Canada RailTrail which grants easy access for longer bike rides, runs, hikes, and four-wheeler adventures. There is a large farm pond (10ft deep) on the property for swimming. Enjoy access to locally-sourced food, firewood (at a small fee) drinking water, a private firepit, gas BBQ (bring your own gas!), and our old-fashioned wood-fired cook stove. There is no electricity or running water (but we provide ample drinking water) and there are solar panels so you may charge your devices or have a light. Bring your pets and enjoy a private retreat. The max capacity of the cabin is three people. If you come with two or three additional friends or children, there is a tent site available for an additional fee. An outhouse with double-duty bag and second luggable loo are available for all guests. Minimum stay: 2 nights. NEW ADDITION: A new room, a small annex, has been constructed to allow for downstairs sleeping and writing area. It is fully insulated with a wood stove so this area may be used year round. The annex gives one a deeper feeling of being a part of the woods.

It offers an abundance of wildlife, plant life, fresh air, tranquility, relaxation, and has the ideal setting for leisurely water sports such as canoeing, kayaking, row boating, or paddle boarding. During your stay, you might see birds such as woodpeckers, wild turkeys, ducks, geese, cranes, or eagles. You may even catch a glimpse of foxes, deer, moose, otters, beavers, frogs, or turtles! Don’t forget your camera! Have a siesta or read a book while relaxing in your hammocks. Stroll through paths or the Shore Road, and Relax in various seating areas throughout our property. If you plan on going fishing, it is your responsibility to check with Natural Resources and Energy Development for license information. We do not provide fishing gear. Cumberland Bay is a small community, centrally located between three major New Brunswick cities (Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John). It has it's own volunteer Fire Department, churches, and a small public wharf nearby (The Range Wharf). The nearby communities of Young's Cove, Waterborough, and Chipman are all within a 10 to 15 minute drive. You'll find churches, convenience stores, gas bars, take-outs, local markets, public swimming, marina, and boat launch.
