My husband and I recently purchased a 4 acre piece of property that has been used industrially for 20 years. It was initially a gravel pit, more recently the site of a welding shop. You will find a lot of fun metal signage hanging from the gate and the outbuildings. I can paint you no better picture, folks, this is a leveled bench that sits flatly atop a hole dug in the ground. The most captivating part of this chunk of earth is the 360 views and the quiet, despite being right off the highway. The perks of being in a hole. This is an area without trees, something we hope to change soon. As I said, it is a former gravel pit and is still reminiscent of such. If you plan to stay long, plan to bring a shade tarp if you’re hanging out on the property. This is a

You can see the Spanish Peaks all the way to the Taylor Hillgards, with a view of the Gravelly range in sight as well.
We are located 4 miles out of town. There is a mobile on the property that is used as a rental. 5 minute drive to Main Street, 3 minutes from the turn off of 287 onto Varney Road.
My husband and I are very engaged in the outdoors and our community. If you have any questions or would like suggestions ranging from where to hike to where to eat, we enjoy sharing our recommendations.
This camp is dry. We have spigots that you are welcome to use to fill up water jugs. Camper Corner in Ennis has a shower house. If weather permits, we have a sun shower with a really fancy hoola hoop with a shower curtain on it. Shoot me a text to borrow it. No waste disposal. There is a dump 5 miles from the property.
There is an earth head located on the property. I’ll give you the run down via messenger on how to use it when you book.
We are available for last minute booking. We realize that it can be very challenging to find a place to park and sleep during the summer months.
