Once a main railway for lumber in Hancock County, this small 24-acre homestead, acquired in 2010, is home to a variety of farm animals, edible landscaping including multiple varieties of fruit trees and small vegetable gardens. Completely wooded at the time of purchase, the farm is still a work in progress. Daily farm life involves upgrading fences, clearing the 5-acre pasture, building animal pens, installing rain catchment systems, composting, harvesting, canning, baking and our favorite....... feeding the furry and feathered friends. Pitch your tent in our wooded acreage nestled along side a flowing creek bed. Relax on the sand and watch the squirrels play or close your eyes to meditate with the sounds of nature. A true primitive camping experience awaits you. You can fish in the pond for your own dinner and gather eggs for breakfast. Try snacking on farm breads and biscuits with homemade jellies. Depending on the season, picking wild blackberries or some of the farm produce available gives a glimpse into the daily life of living at Creekside Farm. Our goal is to provide an unplugged experience for you to unwind and get back to nature so you can release the stress of everyday and enjoy the nature and serenity of our little farm. Inquire about homesteading classes and our bi annual homesteading festival. Classes are on Saturday mornings in January/February. The festival is a small but super packed event in the fall and spring each year. We loved the camping at Creekside Farm. Alicia was very friendly and accommodative. Kids had so much fun while fishing. We would love to go here again. I highly recommend this experience.

We had the best time staying at Alicia’s beautiful Homestead in the coolest hippie bunker ever!! Alicia and her family were so kind & welcoming to us and our 2 dogs, and the icing on the cake was the homemade biscuits and jam! She even brought us coffee when I told her I didn’t feel good about my husband’s “Boy Scout coffee” method! Be sure to take home a dozen of fresh yard eggs! Will certainly be back when it’s warmer to enjoy the beautiful clear creek that winds thru the property! 😃😃

Can’t miss!
Absolute gem! Highly recommended! The coolest people and such fun farm animals! It was awesome to see the ingenuity the hosts have off the grid. Yet amenities where you felt right at home and had everything you needed! Very grateful me, my pup, and fiancé found it. We held our road trip back a day because of how peaceful it was to be on the homestead!

Thanks for another great stay! And you were right about the firewood - I used 99.9% of it 😄

Definitely recommend!
Alicia and CJ were absolutely wonderful in rough weather. They even let me hunker down in their home with my dog when there were tornado warnings. Absolutely salt of the earth people. I had a great spot in the woods, but with the high winds moved to their front lawn to be away from the trees. I got some nice fresh eggs as well. 100% recommend!!!
