Wild Haven Farm is a working farm focused on raising threatened livestock using regenerative practices. We rotationally graze goats (Fainters and San Clemente Island) and heritage poultry. Wild River State Park is a 3/10 of a mile walk along the dirt road to access rivers and over 36 miles of trails.
Please Note: We have working Livestock Guardian Dogs on the property that protect the livestock from predators. Their job is to bark...all night. If you are a light sleeper or bothered by dogs barking at night this would not be a good site for you. However, we encourage you to consider a farm tour during the day.The campsite is surrounded by woods and pasture. It is a short walk from the parking area to the campsite. You will camp amongst wild flowers and have a view of the animals in the pasture. The spot is quiet and secluded. It is a short walk/bike to the State Park trails just down the dirt road from the site. Expect to see deer, eagles, and a variety of other wildlife who use this area as a corridor to the State Park lands.
