Gage Camp
Great site and accommodations
We really enjoyed staying at Joseph's place. It's unique and well worth the stay for several reasons. First, it's a single site property, which I found amazing. The privacy is a huge selling point, without giving up space as it's a good size property. Second, the shower, sink, and enclosed sitting space are really unique and super convenient. He also has complimentary firewood and a great size fire ring. The clearing space is a great size, while still being surrounded by woods. And there are several trails, although we didn't have a chance to do much exploring. And Joseph communicated very well and provided a great instruction document with info about the area before arriving. We didn't see Joseph, but to be honest, it was nice to just be able to come in and out as we please on our own. I highly recommend!

Gage Camp
The Greatest Private Campsite in MI
Gage Camp is beautiful, private, excellently maintained with every requisite amenity and somewhere that I will be coming back for years to come.
Joseph Grlica is a masterful trip manager and extremely communicative about any and all questions you may have, not that you will since he sends out a comprehensive welcome packet and is readily responsive on the app or email.
I cannot thank him enough for opening this space up to me, my girlfriend and our two city dogs who finally got to run free in a safe space unbothered and untethered. There are picnic tables, shabins (shed/cabins), a raised wood deck, and a manicured lawn bordered with verdant trees and beaten trail paths.
We popped our tent under an apple tree across from what we couldn't believe was an actual peach tree across from a giant stone guarded fire pit. The local convenience mart, Happy Jake's (listed in the welcome packet and 0.3 miles away), had everything we needed (ice, bait, lures, bbq) except for fishing licenses (buy online) and a second cord of firewood. Luckily, Joe had prepared plenty of starter kindling and logs that we relied upon to cook our food, as well as the cleverest grate/grill spear I've ever seen.
Nearby there was canoe rentals, hiking, and plenty of other activities we didn't get to explore this time but surely will next time, that is of course unless we just stay onsite at Gage Camp and watch shooting stars, eat smores, and even take a shower or use the port john!
5 stars will be back soon

Gage Camp
Private and convenient
I camped here with my husband and two dogs. It was really a perfect camping location. The site is completely private. There is an electrical outlet, outdoor sink, shower, and toilet. The host is very responsive to any concerns. I would definitely like to camp here again. Be aware though that cell reception is not great if being connected to the internet is important to you. But, hopefully you are camping to get away from the digital chaos of the modern world anyway.

Gage Camp
The best camping trip experience !!
This campsite was just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Secluded and filled with greenery, this space not only had an amazing open area in the middle of nowhere, which gave you the optimum choice to were you wanted to set up camp. It also had trails all around the property giving you a chance to really explore the beauty of nature. A big plus!!!!! I loved hearing wildlife and the peaceful sounds of nature serenading us into a calming bliss. The night time stars also gave us a light show that is unmatched compared to what you see in the city.
It was a pure pleasure to stay here and I hope that anyone that comes here has as much fun and peace that we experienced this past weekend!!!!
Much respect to Joe

Gage Camp
Camping at Gage street was a wonderful time. Completely isolated with access to water and power was the perfect combination for a solo weekend. The field next the the woods and the wide open area was great because there’s a mix of sun and shade throughout the day. Having provided camp chairs and a covered area was nice to use as well.
I’d recommend bringing your on extension cord as well as being mindful that the provided fire wood might be wet from rain (had to grab my own after torrential rain).
The entrance was a bit hard to find so I’d recommend the host posting a pic of what the entrance looks like in the welcome packet. Also some of the trails could use some clean up since a few were blocked with debris, but all in all it was a wonderful stay and I’ll definitely be coming back here in the future.
