Hip camper can expect to sleep under the stars in total darkness . There is a beautiful open field with forest surrounding you. There are trails to hike and bike not far from the camp sites. And rail trails close by too. Also Not far from gate 43 the great quabbin reservoir short drive. Lots of thing to do short drive to the covered bridge in Gilbertville. Too Eat For breakfasts and lunch there is Rose 32, a well known bakery that serves coffee, tea soft beverages and sandwiches. There’s Hardwick house of Pizza which also serves pitchers of beer. Mimi’s for lunch. Next town over is Theresa’s Restaurant for Italian foods, Hanna Devine’s for traditional Asian Garden if you like chinese food and, Pig Park BBQ for comfort food! And there a very good Mexican place to eat called mexicali
