I was in town for an event at the University so only spent one night. The Campsite was exactly as described. We didn’t use the bathhouse but looked inside, they were very clean. The cabins looked very nice also. Did have a chance to walk the grounds with the dog, it was awsome. Also spent a bit fishing in the pond, I caught and released several fish in an hour and a half. Thanks so much TJ for sharing your wonderful property

The hosts are very communicative and hospitable. The pricing is great. This place is beautiful. We had some issues that were corrected and some that were not. The fridge wasn't plugged in when we arrived and when we did get power to it; it was broken. They quickly replaced it and fortunately we didn't have any food go bad but plan on bringing food in a cooler just in case you have issues too. There are no curtains or blinds; which apparently was in a picture of the cabin that I missed. If you're out late and want to sleep in, it's difficult due to light filtering in early and dressing and undressing made me uncomfortable because people walked by and could see inside, but there's a bathroom close by that could be used for that. The showers had no hot water two days in a row. They said they're planning on fixing that. The heater wasn't needed but there was no knob to use it if we needed it. However; they get bonus points because they provide a kayak and outdoor seating and a bonfire which is amazing; as well as your first firewood for free. The benefits far outweigh the issues we had and we are 100 percent sure if we had addressed these issues with them they would have taken care of what they could have immediately. That's why we'll be back. We intended to leave a five star rating but didn't see where to do that! It was still worth what we paid and close by to Ocean City.

4 nights at Sunset Pointe

Wow ! This place is a hidden gem on the Eastern shore of Maryland. The sunsets are to die for ! There was a single tree in the exact spot the sun sets ! The sun goes down right in the center of the tree giving off the impression that it is on fire ! Stunning ! Our hosts Leon & Katie helped us with backing our 26' trailer into our spot ! After that it was five days of R&R while visiting Old Salty's during a bluegrass festival ! We plan on returning sometime later this year ! This is a top notch hip camp ! If you are searching for peace and quiet, boating or fishing and crabbing this is the place. Thank you Leon & Katie for your hospitality and allowing us to see those gorgeous sunsets ! Pine Meadow Campsite was the perfect blend of seclusion, comfort, and natural beauty. While the campsite itself is small, there's plenty of space to spread out and relax. The grounds were spotless, and we were constantly serenaded by birds and delighted by the sight of rabbits hopping through the area. The real highlight, though, was the watershed—a beautifully maintained building featuring a half bath, a full bath with a standing shower, and a small but impressively stocked kitchenette. It had everything we could possibly need (and more!), and stepping inside felt like coming home after a long day of hiking and exploring. What made this stay even more special was the location. Nestled on private property right in the middle of Rocky Gap State Park, we had easy access to everything the park offers—without the crowds or the hassle of public campground facilities. And if I could give this stay six stars, I would—thanks entirely to our incredible host. She was kind, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her hospitality made our trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

Kimberly was very responsive. Directions were excellent. Parking was easy. Spot was level. It was very quiet. Loved seeing the Alpacas and cattle. There is also a talkative peacock and 2 friendly cats. There is a dog kennel nearby which got lively with the thunderstorm but not a big deal. We didn’t have cell service with Verizon but our friends with AT&T did. I like that they have firewood and eggs for sale there. It was very quiet overnight. Bring bug spray or a way to keep them at bay. We used a fan and two thermacell bug repellent devices and we were fine. We will be back. Close to lots of things to do.

This was a beautifully situated and cared for campsite. Scott was a great host who checked in on us - including during a thunderstorm. It was an hour from Baltimore and a perfect quick camping getaway. And fwiw that was one of the cleanest wooden outhouses I have ever used! We can’t wait to come back.

My father tells stories of it being filled with guests all summer long! Over the years there was few upgrades and now it's in need of a facelift. We will continue to renovate in phases it's been a labor of love, but you can still see the beauty of this rural location and enjoy the peace and quiet. Hope you enjoy your stay. Lots of trees, shade and nature. It's located near New Germany State Park, 1.5 miles by car, less than a mile by foot. The state park has a lake and hiking trails. Garrett County has so much to offer, waterfalls, lakes, hiking, skiing, Amish gifts, history, fresh air, beautiful scenery. The campground was first started in 1964 by my grandparents, we are currently completing renovations in phases.

There is evidence of civil war activity here and the old river ford is on our property. Creek and river access make this a beautiful, peaceful place that is full of life. The energy here is overwhelmingly positive. Our house was built in the 1850s and the neighboring farm was built shortly after—lots of history on this property. You will be able to camp right next to Glade Creek which is always cool, clean, and refreshing. Our goal with opening the land up for camping is to eventually phase out commercial farming on the property and transform it into woodlands using native plants and trees. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD. AT THIS TIME WE ARE OUT FOR THE SEASON. The original river campsite has been moved to a more remote spot so that all campers can access the pond and pier to the river. Farm encompasses nearly 300 acres on the Patuxent River. There is access to the river on high tide via our private creek (must bring your own canoe or kayak) and 150 acres of marshland. Over 100 acres of woods to walk through and a pond for wildlife watching. From Atlantic beaches to Appalachian Mountains, Chesapeake fishing villages to sprawling state parks―Maryland serves up plenty of variety, and campers won’t have to search far to find a campground, cabin, or glampsite. Whether you’re vacationing along the Chesapeake Bay, hiking and backcountry camping in the northern mountains, or driving your RV along Scenic Byways, there’s an adventure to suit all tastes. Summer is the busiest time to visit, when crowds hit the beach resorts along the Atlantic coast, but the mild temperatures of spring and fall are ideal for camping and outdoor activities. Winters are cold and snowy, so opt for a cozy cabin rental instead.

Western Maryland

Misty mountain peaks, dense forests, and sparkling lakes await in Western Maryland, which stretches from Hagerstown to Deep Creek Lake. Follow the Mountain Maryland scenic byway through the Allegheny Mountains, rent a canal boat along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, or go whitewater rafting in Swallow Falls State Park. Seasonal highlights include the fall foliage hikes around Oakland, summer swimming and boating on Deep Creek Lake, and hitting the ski slopes in McHenry.

Central Maryland

Sitting pretty between Appalachian peaks and Chesapeake Bay shores, Maryland’s capital region has outdoor escapes within easy reach of both Baltimore and Washington D.C. Take your RV on a drive through history along the Historic National Road, running all the way from Baltimore into the western mountains; hike a 40-mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail; or enjoy wine tasting along the Piedmont Wine Trail. Camping favorites include the Cunningham Falls and Susquehanna state parks.

South Maryland

Picturesque coastal towns, Civil War sites, and golf courses pepper the western shore of Chesapeake Bay, where you can enjoy fishing, birding, and oyster tasting to your heart’s content. Snag a riverside campsite along the Potomac River, enjoy beachside walks in the Point Lookout State Park, or hunt for fossils in the Calvert Cliffs State Park.

Eastern Shore

Vacationers flock to Ocean City, where there are enough sandy beaches, golf courses, and boardwalk amusements to keep you busy all summer long. Nearby, there are beachside campgrounds and herds of wild horses to admire at Assateague Island National Seashore, or you can head over to the Chesapeake Bay shore to paddle around the marshes, enjoy birdwatching in the Blackwater National Wildlife, or rent a rustic cabin at Janes Island State Park.
