There is a woodland in North Newcastle with a place to pitch your tent and/or park your adventure rig. This is a mostly forested six acre lot with lots of unique topographical features. The prime tent site is at the top of the knoll surrounded by sweetfern, viburnum and songbirds. Moss covered glacial erratic boulders, mushrooms and blackberries abound. There are several level areas for tents so choose your favorite(s). Only one party will be here at a time for seclusion’s sake. Feel free to wander around, sunbathe in the nude, play tunes or feed Lars the devious chipmunk. Did I mention the amazing brewery less than a mile down the road? Ocean kayaking and fresh oysters are in town less than ten minutes away. This site is ideal for having a stripped down place to unwind and enjoy the woods not too far from all of the things to see and do on the Pemaquid Peninsula and the rest of the midcoast. You will have the entire six acres of this property to yourself! This land is not really a glamping destination. It is bare and beautiful and just right for anyone who craves a real Maine tent-out. Bard owls and peeping frogs will keep you company if the mood remains mellow. There is no poison ivy but there are ticks and mosquitoes. I treat my clothing and shoes with pemithrin and have had few issues. The main area of this site is over 250 feet down the access road from the state route but some road noise can still be heard. The nights are usually very peaceful though. Also, I am currently strategically grooming this lot to eventually build on so there will be evidence of this in the form of brush piles and surveyor’s flags.

Six Acre Spread
Not as described unfortunately. We were camping on a two track road with brush piles and tall weeds everywhere. We barely found the space to fit our little camping trailers in the “roadway” & never stayed there during the day. The “trail” to the outhouse was hardly a trail. It was a quiet place to sleep at night but not worth the $46 per night compared to other places.

Overall a positive experience. The amenities were nice and it was great to be secluded from anyone else. Firewood was available and the fire pit was great. It's not really a site to explore but it's a great overnight home base for the larger area

Peaceful/simple campsite
Enjoyed the seclusion of the camp site. Our host left a gallon of water, some kindling, and a grate to cook on which was really helpful. You can hear the road and there is a house nearby that you can hear dogs barking. That didn't take away from the experience and we had a lovely time.

Beautiful secluded property! Kelsey was extremely responsive and helpful prior to our arriving. Remote, but not too far from anything— we will definitely stay again if we’re in the area!

Great spot and host!
Beautiful site! Perfect place to park the van as a home base to explore bristol and pemaquid point. Kelsey was an extremely thoughtful host and left drinking water at the site as well as a full solar shower bag. Site is a couple hundred feet off the main road. Could hear an occasional car but didn’t see a single one while at the site, as it’s set back far enough. She made some great local suggestions as well. I’ll definitely be back!
