This site is 10 miles from Acadia National Park (Schoodic side) where there are mountain bike and hiking trails. Want to swim and kayak in freshwater? Jones Pond is just a few miles away and has a public beach. Take a ferry to Bar Harbor and then retreat to the quiet side of the Bay. Hike Schoodic Mountain and take a swim at the end on Donnell Pond. Restaurants and shops are ready for you in Winter Harbor. Enjoy the sunrise trail for 4 wheelers only a few miles from the campsite.
