Hike-in to your fully outfitted off grid cabin and stay the night in the Maine woods enjoying magnificent views of the pine, spruce, fire and sky that encircles you. Make a bonfire and watch the stars put on a show. Bring your sleeping bag, linens, food, and musical instruments to begin your incredible Maine adventure. The woods are waiting, get on your way! If there’s one place we go above all others when we need to relax it’s the forest. You could say we were lovers of forest bathing before that was even a thing! Walking between old and new trees is almost meditative and something we try to do at least once a day. It’s pretty much the antidote to stress, and we always come out happier than we went in.Enjoy dwelling and sleeping in a woods cabin with access to acres more of walking trails. The sunrise cabin will be waiting for you after a Parking at the base and hike a 1/5 mile up the wooded hill The hike up is between 10-20 minutes depending on your level of fitness. Our dogs will guide you to the cabin where I’ll be waiting to give you the quick tour. You'll be able to walk among wild blueberries, mosses, lichens and huckleberries, spruce, pine, fir on the woods trail that leads to the cabin. “Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson Amenities include: Beautiful, but humble 140 square feet cabin, wood stove, 2 burner gas cook stove, solar patio lights, solar shower, 100 watt solar array that powers lights, USB ports and small 12v DC appliances. An outdoor kitchen that has the basics to prepare a camp meal or grill hotdogs and marshmallows over the open fire. A large stone fire ring, chairs, and total privacy. 5 gallons of potable water for each night you spend is provided. There is 1 futon (you bring warm sleeping bag/bedding/NO bedding is provided in this space) and A loft that has a full mattress, ideal for kids or gear. Bringing your own bedding is not optional, it's a must. The bathroom is a comfortable, hand crafted outhouse with a solar shower in the great outdoors (you bring towel). Hike-In Sunrise Cabin in the Woods
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time camping out on Lb’s land and cabin. Lb is a lovely host and gave us a quick 10 minute orientation to the off grid cabin. There is an outhouse, solar powered shower, outdoor kitchen, wood stove inside, hammocks, and fireplace outside. Thanks Lb!!
