The Harrican Lakehouse
Great views, be better in summer
It was decent but I could kind of tell nothing had been touched since the last group. It was freezing upon arrival (I'd had the heat on) mice poop in drawers with dish sponges and they were rather nasty and had already been used by prior guest. I asked about a grill and was told there was one so we purchased grill food for the entire weekend and got there and the only thing that worked was the rusted side burner of the grill for small pots and that was covered in old hard ramen noodles. She did say she'd come look at it but we are more reserved and chose just to use the stove for privacy reasons. I don't mind bugs but if you don't like them there were thousands of lady beetles, wasp and ants where you sleep. paddle board is cracked and the boat so full of water I had to empty it myself which was almost impossible nd if you're going to fish wait a few months because they were all babies. I think the site advertised it sleeps 20 people but I'd say 6 max unless people are staying in tents outdoors and lastly the bathroom situation wasn't for the faint. It was a true glamping experience and I guess that's what hipcamp is about but I hate false advertising. My kids had fun though running around and just casting a line. Bring your own toilet paper, wash clothes and garbage bags. We were given a roll for 4 people for 2 days and one morning. It was very pretty it really was and very peaceful she was very nice but I felt as though I may as well had been in a tent at times.

Out door get away
We very much enjoyed how quite and peacefull the quint little cabin is on the farm. The wild life will be your company and nothing else. We brought our own water, wine and food and the rest is provided. The kitchen is reasonable equiped and will serve you well. There was a bit of pet hair from previous guest so if you have animal allergies beware. Great relaxing stay thank you.

A Hidden Gem!
This little cabin on the lake was exactly what we love about Hip Camps! If you enjoy comfortable beds, (we slept for 10 hours!) indoor plumbing,(although my husband, loved the outhouse too. Lol ) a huge wraparound around porch that overlooks a lake, bringing your fur baby’s with you (golden doodle, a.k.a. Hazel and a long-haired dachshund who thinks he’s the boss Deuce, absolutely loved, stretching out their legs and running around the lake.) the peace and solitude along with the fresh mountain air then you have found the Hip Camp for you. My husband and I traveled from the Gulf Shores in Alabama. (11 hours of driving) we were beyond happy that we found this adorable cabin to break up our trip. Only thing that disappointed us is that we could not stay longer! Thank you so much for allowing us to share a piece of your paradise Bridgett💕 We plan on a return visit. Tami & Rick

Enjoyed our stay
We had a great stay, the site is beautiful, the pond is lovely, and it was quiet and cozy.
Do pay attention to the bathroom setup. The one bathroom is inside of the master bedroom and I do mean inside. It is all one room, so using the restroom at night is an intimate affair 😀
In addition to the restroom there is an outhouse near by, so as long as you’re comfortable with guests you can work things out.
The kitchen was nice and functional. Perfect spot to have a quiet weekend with a spouse or close friends
