Shelby’s property is perfect for a spacious camping weekend where our dogs could be off leash!
Porta-potty was very clean and right next to our site - loved this!
Can’t wait to come back in the fall to enjoy the fall leaves!

Nice site close to Louisville
The site was easy to access and nicely maintained. There are three campsites at this location next to a train track and fairly busy road. It was very convenient to stores and food. It felt safe. There is a fire pit and the space is level. It worked great for my needs. It’s between two mountain bike trails and close to downtown Louisville. I’d recommend bringing ear plugs if you don’t like the white noise of the road. I’ll visit this location again.

Site 1: Overflow
The stay at Shelbys was good. She made accommodations available through an overflow site because her regular sites were booked. Thanks for that. It was relatively quiet, except a train passing by each morning but all in all a good camt site.

Great camping at Shelby’s
We enjoyed camping on Shelby’s land. We had a roof top tent so it was easy to find a level surface to park and set up. There are three spots on the property and we were not in view of the other spots it was private and comfortable. The grass was mowed. It happened to be a little windy but because of the surrounding tree coverage it wasn’t bad at all. It was also very easy to get to, the area was locked behind a gate and the directions from Shelby were very clear.

Loved our time here!
I loved staying here! Check-in was super easy and the area was clean and beautiful. We stayed here for 5 days and would definitely return. Several amenities are near by and easy accessible.
The only con I would have is that if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring ear plugs for the train that’s nearby. It wasn’t an issue for our family but may be for others.

Glam Camp-Upcycled Tiny House Camp
The camper is adorable and super cozy! We came down for a quick getaway and found the spot easy to find and we were happy with the proximity to downtown as the drive is ~20 min tops from the “glamp”site. There are tracks nearby but we weren’t bothered by the single train that passed each night. The area felt secluded enough on the property and has a nice view of the tree line.
My one suggestion to the hosts is to perhaps include a quick-guide for operating the oven and shower, (and locating light switches)—we typically tent camp or do B&Bs in cabins/yurts so we have zero experience with campers but aside from that, it had everything we needed, and it was clean and well stocked!
I feel it’s important to mention that there was either a misunderstanding with the check-in date or potential double booking with another B&B hosting site on our last night. We got back around midnight on Friday to find another car parked outside the camper with people sleeping inside it. They said they had been in contact with Shelby and were given the lock box code but when they told them it was empty they got no more replies—regardless of the circumstances leading to it, it didn’t appear to be handled well. While it was just really awkward for us, I know the other people had a rough night.
I’d stay here again, however, (and this goes for any B&B/camp) definitely get in the habit of double-checking with the hosts after booking to ensure there are no conflicts before you arrive!
