The 120-acre Teter Retreat & Organic Farm sits on land donated by Ruth Teter in 1981. Ruth's brother, Earl "Lucky" Teter, was a famous touring stunt car driver in the 1930s and 1940s. Starting in 1934, Lucky and his "Hell Drivers" toured throughout North America (and even Cuba) bringing never-before-seen car and motorcycle stunts and precision driving to the public.
In the last few years we have enhanced the Retreat by using the Farmland to grow organic vegetables which we sell at a local Farmers Market as well as provide to CSA (Consummer Supported Agriculture) shareholders. We also donate a significant portion of our produce to local food programs. We believe that everyone should have access to quality food. Our Motto is "Do Good - Eat Well".
