The hike back into the campsite is an old cattle path from the Corris Farm. The Corris family settled this land in 1860s and is the second oldest farm in Lake County in existence. The 100 plus year old barn is standing on the south corner of Russell Rd with a new green roof. Their cattle grazed this area and the swamps to North that border the state lines.
