its not the ritz but host is great!
Host was very nice! when we arrived he provided us with a table, chairs, and a fire pit. and allowed us to use his propane grill. we were the only party on site with 5 of us, in tents. We camped off of our motorcycles so it was minimal. There was plenty of room and we were able to pull right up to our site. We pulled into the furthest back corner of the property to be as secluded as possible. The host was easily contactable but never once bothered us. He was present, and on site, and extremly helpful, but his property was far enough away that it didnt feel like we were camping in someones backyard, and had plenty of privacy. I would advise that the clubhouse could still use some work. It has running water, electric, and a bathroom with toilet and sink. There was no door/partition to provide privacy when using the bathroom, Not that big of an issue if you're the only party on site and if your party consists of men. Might be a little rough for women, but given the condition of the clubhouse we still plan to revisit in the future.

Privacy and an awesome host!
Very nice secluded little property. It’s about a half of an acre of land behind the hosts house that includes a small barn that is being converted to a clubhouse. The host was very friendly and helpful. We brought a 20ft travel trailer and got in just fine. Class A and large class C motorhomes might be difficult to get past the gate. We connected to water and power through the clubhouse/barn. The water tastes like local well water and it appears to be being fed into the barn from the houses domestic well system. We probably only drew max 20 amps from the barn but it looks like it can support up to 30 amps of power. When this Hipcamp site was first listed they were having bathroom issues with a temporary bathroom they had set up while working on the clubhouse, which led to a poor review, but as of writing this review the clubhouse bathroom is finished and fully up and running. Overall I was happy with my stay and I will be back. It’s very easy to get to, and the host is extremely helpful with getting you set up and well accommodated. It’s nice being able to camp by yourself without worrying about annoying neighbors camping right next to you.

Spacious Area with Potential!!
This place is a year away from being my favorite place to glamp in the summer. Seriously- I might make it a weekend haunt! Currently, however, there is no usable pool and no clubhouse. There is a sink and toilet, but the bathroom has no door. There is water and electric. Owners flexible and offered refund. Got their neighbors to let us swim in their amazing pool. That was very kind. Once the pool gets scrubbed, shocked, and filtered, it will be ready for humans to use. Once the clubhouse gets built out, it will be a great space. I can’t wait to see the progress next summer. Super pet friendly! Large space for my dog to run around. There are chickens and a duck. My kiddo loved that. The owner is super friendly and showed her them. We plan to go back in early October because it is quite close to the pumpkin farm I like to visit. If you are in need of a place to stay en route to somewhere, this place is pretty conveniently located just 45 min to Chicago and also just south of the WI border. Once all the upgrades are complete, it would be a fun place to get your friends together and tent camp for a weekend. Near historic Long Grove IL- cute shopping area and Goebbert’s Pumpkin Farm. There’s a nice shopping mall nearby.

Unknowingly shared bathroom
Camp host was very kind and nice and accommodating. However, campsite did not exactly look like how it was pictured. There was not as much space as it seems from the photos. When we got to the site, the camp host told us that we could use the bathroom in an rv on the property. However he did not mention that someone was staying in the trailer so we were quite shocked when we went to use the bathroom in the morning and a man was sleeping in there. It would have been nice to know the rv had someone living in it. Overall we were a little freaked out by that experience.
