Pitch your tent in the garden or park your campervan at the base of our retreat center, Sanctuary of the Blue Dragon. The Sanctuary of the Blue Dragon is a Rebirthing Center offering preparation and support for the transformation of a lifetime! We offer daily classes such as Bikram Hot Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, and AcroYoga. We host monthly yoga residencies with daily connection rituals such as Mantra & Meditation, Empathy Exchange, ComeUnity Gardening, & excursions to the local hot springs, black sand beach, and Sunday morning ecstatic dance. We have yearly retreats on the Equinoxes & Solstices, which begin with a 30 day cleanse and culminate with a Gratitude Ceremony on the Summit of Mauna Kea. As a retreat space, we often host guests who are on cleanses and/or dieta, so it is of utmost priority to keep the energy on the land pure and clear. Therefore, there is no smoking of any kind, alcohol consumption, or taking of plant medicine while on site. We ask that you show up with your full presence, without the influence of any other energies. We have quiet hours before 7:30 am and after 7:30 pm to honor the retreat atmosphere. Wi-Fi hours are from 8 am to 5 pm; please let us know if you need the Wi-Fi outside of these hours. We encourage you to leave your devices off as much as possible to receive from the healing frequency of the Earth. The Sanctuary of the Blue Dragon is a also permaculture homestead featuring many hugelkulture garden beds growing staple foods like taro, pumpkin, cassava, sweet potato, and local greens. We have many young fruit trees in the ground and are blessed to have some mature trees currently producing banana, papaya, rollenia, & avocado. In addition to growing food, we are also raising many animals and two children! You will see the girls up early in the morning feeding the bunnies and guinea pigs or playing with our three temple cats. We are committed to living in harmony with the land, and as such we are mostly off-grid and catch our own water. We sort all of our trash meticulously for recycling. Currently plastic is NOT recycled on this island, so our Kuleana (responsibility) is to buy as little plastic as possible. We use only biodegradable and eco-friendly soaps, shampoo, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, etc. It’s a great experience in taking small actions to show our love to the ’āina (the land).Pitch your tent in the garden or park your campervan at the base of our retreat center, Sanctuary of the Blue Dragon. Blue Dragon Camping
Eco-sustainable Camping Experience
Such a beautiful garden and such a friendly welcome from the host. Also the site of a yoga studio full of holistic loving energy. So interesting to learn about homesteading with eco-friendly kitchen and lovely warm solar shower. Super bonus to have cute little bunnies that got loose in the yard.

Gorgeous forest visit/ new friends!
Simona’s place is a beautiful property with wonderful vibes all around. My stay there was exceptional, I got to bounce on the trampoline in the rain like a kid and walk through the gardens that had tons of edible plants that were also beautiful to look at. The others living on the property were such vibrant souls and we enjoyed each others’ company by visiting Kilwea, the active volcano, and the nearby farmer’s market. I would love to come back to Pahoa again some day!
