Our campsites are situated on 13 acres off the Historical Hamakua Coast, and home of the Hamakua Christmas Tree Forest. Awesome ocean view of the beautiful Pacific are a guarantee. It is quiet, safe ,and private with easy access just 3/4 mile off of the Hawaii Belt Road, (Highway 19), up a paved county maintained road. At Waikaumalo Park, "roughly a half mile" walk or ride away, you can take a cool dip in the fresh water stream surrounded by tropical foliage. Papa'aloa Country Store and Cafe has a restaurant and offers a wide selection of grocery items only 5 miles away. Botanical World Adventures just 3 miles away offers the Umauma Experience with ziplining, biking tours, trails exploring tropical flora, and triple waterfall views and adventures. Akaka Falls is only 6 miles away in Honomu. Laupahoehoe Point is only 15 minutes away offering swimming, fishing, and relaxing in the lava rocks and waves. All this is just 20 miles north of Hilo!

Oceanview Camp Sight #3

Getaway with nature

We loved the tent camping on Nancy & Richard’s land. It was easy to find and close to the surf & waterfall spots we like to go to. It was really private and had a nice ocean view. Being surrounded by nature with the stars and sounds of waterfalls and waves was a great way to reset and disconnect.

BungaHigh Oceanview Cabin

Nancy greeted up with welcoming spirits and banana bread, very kind. The ‘bungahigh’ was exactly as described and it worked perfectly for us to cook outside, sleep with the sound of rain and watch the sunset and sunrise from bed. Would stay again.

Great & quiet stay on a rainy night

We loved staying at the Bungahigh at Nancy & Richard’s land. Although it was a rainy night, it was very comfortable to stay inside the bungalow. They have added different appliances which made our stay great and we definitely would return to enjoy the views, the porch and the tranquility of the place.

Oceanview Camp Sight #3

We would definitely stay at this location again. The site was easy to find and they communicated very well. They also had a gate to the property which made it slightly more complicated to get into the property, but it also provides a higher level of safety. They were also very accommodating...after booking, a medical condition came up shortly before we arrived so we requested that we stay near the gate in case we needed to leave for the hospital in the middle of the night which would allow us to not disturb their other guests. They agreed and we had a good stay.
